It looks like Marks is gonna be released by Charlotte. And most likely they're gonna keep Joel.

Does Marks come back?

It would require him clearing waivers (3 days) and then sitting out 30 days since trade. I don't think we'll wait for him.

Never thought I'd say this, but we need a 7 footer ASAP! Even if it's just for the 6 fouls!

Maybe if we move the franchise to Seattle Marks won't be able to find us?

If Marks were here tonite do you think he'd start?

I'd rather have Nic ... no joke.

No joke. Batum may struggle to defend Nene, but Nene's going to have chase Batum out to the perimeter. Marks would be a non-factor on both ends.

If only.

Speaking of any "someone" to replace Marks, I wish they would have kept that skinny D-league kid Chris Johnson over Marks.

That's how I felt also but I think they were looking ahead and considering he might be used to make a trade work.

I'm amazed. An entire thread just for Sean Marks. Sean Marks would be shocked at this. Sean Marks' mom would be shocked this exists. Hell, his grandma would be shocked this exists.

I'd love to tell you how shitty he is. But let's be honest. He provided some serious value. He was the only thing on our roster that represented a salary we could trade that also represented no subtraction in basketball ability. So thank you Sean Marks. You made the entire G-Dub deal happen. Now good luck in your next career. Hopefully, you've been saving the money the Blazers (and B-kittens) handed you.

I think you are all embellishing on how shitty the guy is. We have had so many worse players than him. Did he sleep with all your wives?

If we can get someone else better, than do it. Otherwise sign him. He is a big body, he is not a stiff, he is not stupid, and he can actually shoot an open jumper. I will take his 4-6 minutes a game (if there is an injury) and not worry about him being in there.

No, but he was your wife, right? No exaggeration, the dude was flat out terrible. Just cuz you know some basic fundamentals, doesn't mean you belong.

If you are in the association for over a decade, you may not be good, but you can't be that bad.

I think Przy is going to retire after this season. Even if he "plays" for Charlotte, I'm not sure what they'll get out of him.

The guy is set for life, and he's kind of a normal guy, except he's made a lot of money. He shops at Costco, for Pete's sake, and he even returns items and eats hot dogs with his son there for lunch.

If Sean Marks had lost like 10lbs, did more cardio then he would move his feet faster. Maybe more treadmill time for him?

Did he tell you all this when you found yourself sitting next to him in an airplane?

There is an NBA skill that needs to be quantified and named, maybe a name as simple as "experience." It's the ability not to get into foul trouble, and not to screw up the team, and not to break plays, and to know where your spot is in each play.

Tonight as one of only 3 Blazer front line players suited up (Aldridge, Batum), Babbitt played only 8 minutes because he got 4 fouls.

Like Babbitt, Chris Johnson would take a year before he could play. This is the value of Marks, with 10 years in the league.
