Just shut up, for our sake and for your own sake.

LOL! Why do you care about what I write? I write what I think and it either resonates with you or it doesn't. For some reason, you let me push your buttons.

I consider a "post presence" to be someone who you can throw the ball into and get a score from them. LMA is much more effective at that than Oden. Yes, Oden gets more inside points than LMA but those are from putbacks and wide open dunks created by Roy and Blake. Oden does not have a better "post game" than Aldridge. Not even close.

Put it this way, who would you rather have shooting a hook shot? LMA or Oden?

So what you are trying to say is that LMA's 61% "inside" shooting average and draw foul rate of 10.8% is superior to Oden's 63% inside shooting average and draw foul rate of 16.5%

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

You annoy the hell out of me and plenty of other people on this board. But I have to ask, does this tired act get you off or something?

post game != low post.

"Low post" area is the area near the "block" on either side of the lane (or "paint" area), to about half way up the lane toward the free throw line.

AKA you are back pedaling to fit the new found data.

Yes because most of Oden's inside scoring comes from putbacks and wide open dunks created by Roy and Blake and NOT from post moves. There's a difference that you don't seem to understand. Aren't you the guy that said Nate didn't incorporate Oden into the offense at the start of the preseason? LOL! So wrong.

I literally spit on the screen because of "created by roy and blake" You said "low post" not "post moves"

Roy and Blake have each had 13 assists to Oden this season. That leads the team. Miller has only had SEVEN assists to Oden. These are facts whether or not you spit on your screen.

I never resort to name calling or personal attacks. My posts are about basketball.

Go Blazers!

n Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[2]

i do not see name calling in there.

13/2 = 6+7 So yes, one player has had as many as Miller. congratulations, did you also know that the state of oregon makes more money than one person?

I just post the truth. I don't post to provoke other posts. That is what you guys are doing. Telling me to shut up and calling me a troll disrupts normal on-topic discussion.

You two are projecting. Look it up.

WRONG. Roy and Blake EACH had 13 assists to Oden. Learn the game, then post.

So it's a question of style for you? I don't care if Greg is getting points off of putbacks, or off the spin move he developed with Bayno over the summer, scoring in the low post is scoring in the low post. It doesn't take a genius to see that Oden commands a double team when he catches and esteblishes himself low because barely anybody in the league can push him off. And yeah, 6 or 7 field goal attempts per game is not incorporating Oden into the offense (especially when you consider that 2 or 3 of those shots came off of putbacks).

It doesn't matter though, you've sort of already revealed that your "Village Idiot" routine is mostly meant to piss people off and "push buttons" (your words, not mine). Have a nice day.

LOL! More name calling. Brilliant.

Yes, there's a difference between putbacks and post moves. Put simply, at the end of the game when you really need a score, do you throw the ball into Oden or LMA? You can't run a play called "get a putback."

I was unclear. I meant to say that for some reason what I say on this forum pushes your buttons and not that I intend to push your buttons. I certainly never set out to piss people off nor have I ever said that I do. I think you do set out to piss people off with your posts such as calling me names and asking me to shut up. It doesn't work though. I laugh at your weak baseless personal attacks.

I didn't call you names, I said you've got an act. that is to say I'm fairly certain that you are not an idiot, but you play one in order to illicit a response.

As for who you would have thrown the ball into at the end of games it's impossible to answer because Brandon is the one taking that shot.

You called me the "Villiage Idiot." Sorry but that is name calling.

As for your second statement. Yes, Roy is our first option but let's say Roy fouls out or misses a game. Who do you go to in the post? LMA or Oden?

where are these stats coming from? Link please

They were already posted here with a link. I do not have it on me though. Roy and Blake have each had 13 assists to Oden. Miller has had 7. Anyone who watches all the games knows this already though. Hell, look at the last time we played Minnesota. Blake had FOUR assists to Oden in the third quarter. In one quarter! Miller has had only 7 all season!

I need to see it for myself or have someone else corroborate your story.

We're quibbling over semantics, but I will say one thing, I probably crossed a line, so you have my apology for that.

But back to basketball, you almost never see a big man for any team take the last shot because they typically can't handle the ball well enough in isolation plays to beat a man off the dribble and almost certainly will be double or triple teamed so the point is mostly moot. The only bigs that I can recall ever seeing as a go to scorer at the end of a game consistently is Dirk in the past ten years.

Excellent. We're back to basketball talk, but I respectfully disagree with you. Duncan has been a very effective player to go to at the end of games in the last 10 years. Also, Rasheed Wallace, Yao Ming (esp since he hits his free throws), and Kevin Garnett.

Nate's the guy who said Nate didn't want to incorporate Oden into the offense. Can't blame us.

And your bolded premise (like many others you try to base off of pseudo-stats) is faulty.

Greg has 92 FGs this year. 18 of those are dunks. 76% of those are assisted. So 14 of his dunks were assisted. Tips account for 12% of his 92 FGs, or 10 FGs.

So the stats show that, even if all of Oden's dunks were assisted by Roy/Blake (which they're not), and if all of his "tips" were putbacks, it would still only account for 28 of his 92 FGs, which at 30% doesn't qualify as "most" of anything. In fact, that's the exact same number as his "unassisted close shots", which is a pretty close phrase to "Greg's own post move". Combined with the stat (fact?) that 57% of his FGs come from other than tips, dunks and jump shots--you're just simply way off base with this premise.
