Didn't see it posted anywhere, so thought I'd let everyone know the "imminent" deal between Chicago and Portland that was supposed to happen Monday seems highly unlikely with Chicago 3-deep now.

Rudy will be the 2nd teammate KG will make cry on the bench for fucking up on defense.

The best we can hope for would be some 2 or 3 for 1 deal where he gets used as nothing more than a throw-in. I wonder if he'll actually report to camp?

Not so fast ...

Since some have asked...signing Bogans does not preclude Bulls from continuing to pursue Rudy Fernandez...still under cap & only 12 players.

Hopefully not. The Portland can just suspend him without pay for the rest of the season.

Its obvious that the Rudy value is poor right now. Wait until the Euro League is done and lets see if his value goes up.

Blazers are holding out for Gibson...

Despite signing Keith Bogans, the Bulls are still open to dealing for Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez.

Chicago has offered to absorb Fernandez's $1.25 million salary for 2010-11 with cap space in exchange for a future first-round pick, according to sources.

However, Portland believes they can do better.

It's widely assumed that the Trail Blazers want Taj Gibson back if they are to deal Fernandez to the Bulls.

Chicago isn't making Gibson available, but they are open to trading James Johnson.

I wouldn't mind a trade of Rudy and Dante for Taj and a lottery protected first round pick ... I know that won't get most Bull's fans real excited (and probably a not a lot of Blazers fans either) but I think that's more than fair, considering how much overlap there is between Cunningham and Gibson in skill-set (and talent) and it moves Rudy for at least some kind of asset, which should be Cho's main goal at this point.
