The milita will be locals. No need to even waste the Chinese army's time when they can make a bank transfer to some mercenaries who will wage war for them.

Africa has vast resources and little resistance.

"They are just building infrastructure"

The Japanese tried to conquer the Phillipines in WWII. They had control over a large chunk of it but never came close to subjugating it. They spent their entire time there fighting a guerrilla war. Even 80 years later I don’t see China having any better luck. Plus, the Phillipinos are nasty as fuck if you piss them off.....

I think eventually they will be bribed off enough for China to take over. Right now, its too aligned with the west.

bro that would never, ever happen....you should know how much they hate the Chinese there....and those Mindinao pirates aren't going to lie down for the commies either...it would be way worse than their war with Vietnam that lasted hundreds of years...Australia and New Zealand are not going to watch that happen nor Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia...China will have to fight on too many fronts...which is why Japan lost and Germany plus you'd have the Hong Kong underground in place and they're not too happy with China either..

Unless a pandemic is released. Seems to have quashed the HK protests nicely.

If it means more gorgeous hula dancers then I'm all for it.

Wonder if this includes Chinese airlines that go to other destinations. Big, if true.

The decision was a response to China’s failure to let United Airlines and Delta Air Lines resume flights this week to China, which were suspended earlier this year in response to the coronavirus pandemic that started in China’s Wuhan province.

The Transportation Department said that China was violating an agreement between the two countries covering flights by each other’s airlines.

This story is gaining a lot of traction in the media. Figured it qualifies for its own thread.

Intelligence officials weigh possibility coronavirus escaped from a Chinese lab

WASHINGTON — Although the the U.S. intelligence community early on dismissed the notion that the coronavirus is a synthesized bioweapon, it is still weighing the possibility that the pandemic might have been touched off by an accident at a research facility rather than by an infection from a live-animal market, according to nine current and former intelligence and national security officials familiar with ongoing investigations.

After extensive research, scientists in the U.S. and elsewhere have determined that the new strain of the coronavirus discovered in China in December is, as Chinese officials have maintained, of natural origin, but they are taking seriously that its route to human infection may have started in a lab in Wuhan.

“It’s definitely a real possibility being bandied about at the high levels of the administration,” said one of the sources, who has knowledge of China and national security.

“We are actively and vigorously tracking down every piece of information we get on this topic and we are writing frequently to update policymakers,” an intelligence official told Yahoo News. The intelligence community “has not come down on any one theory.”
