Politics Chinese Spy Balloon

Just saw this about a Chinese spy balloon that was launched flew through Canada and now is somewhere over the US first spotted in Montana. Sounds like the US doesn't want to shoot it out of the sky for fear of falling debris and are not currently saying where it is located. Will be curious to find out what they are trying to obtain, or if they are just seeing how far they could get something into US airspace before it was spotted.

They fly over Taiwan all the time...there are no surprises there at this point. My guess is this has been handled between Beijing and Washington already or it would've been forced to land
