I did mention that I felt he needed more time to execute his vision. You can't remake an NFL roster that fast. But from a system perspective, McCoy was a much better option than either Murray or Matthews. Sproles honestly should have gotten more PT for that system but Murray was the one getting paid and thus got the work. And he WAY over paid for Maxwell. That was a disaster and hugely regrettable.

The McCoy move seemed entirely about ego and trying to exert control over the team. That's a classic college coach mistake, imo. I think it's difficult for coaches to let go of that control that they had in college.

The Murray signing was stupid, as was the Bradford trade. If he had such with Foles, he probably would have been able to trade for Kap mid-season. Had that happened, I bet he is still in Philly.

Well, he seemed hell bent on trying to acquire Mariota, and when that failed he decided that Bradford was the next best thing. I don't know why you'd hang your hat on a guy who has been out with injuries for the past couple years.

Exactly. The idea that Bradford was the next best anything was ludicrous.

Murray though..... the guy was the rushing champ from the previous season. I can't say that I watched him much on the Cowboys, but isn't he talented or was it just the OLine?

The O-line was generally heralded as the best in the league. Couple that with Murray's injury history, the historical record of backs with more than 390 carries in a season, and the amount of money they paid him (more than McCoy)...it was not an intelligent pickup.

Yeah McCoy has always been a better talent than Murray.

I thought Ryan Mathews was better In that offense than demarco Murray. You don't need to spend a lot for a rb In this league anymore. Unless it's an ap

Even with AP, I prefer the look of the offense when McKinnon is in the backfield, because he can actually catch. Give me an above average RB and two standout guards over a superstar RB every time. Invest in the O-line, and the running game will come.
