Adding things up, it looks like Cho is formulating a plan, and he plans to build around Nicolas Batum? I'm a Batum fan, and he's an above-average defender, decent scoring option, and a young player on a very cheap contract, but not untradeable.
I think the bigger question is whether Cho will trade Aldridge. LA reminds me a little of Cliff Robinson from the mid '90s - not his game, so much, but his overall ability level. Like Cliffy, Aldridge is a border-line all-star, and the best player on the team, but that's not good enough to get the team out of the first round. So what do you do with him?[/QUOTE]
Why would your trade your best player? Odds of getting a player back that is better is really really low. You add to your best player, you don't trade him unless you are assured to get a young player in return that will turn your franchise around. And most trading partners who have a player like that will want to keep them. LMA is not going anywhere. He is way better than uncle cliffy. (Except from the 3 pt line)
