Good the pick we gave to Houston is 1-14 protected. Yeah I know most fans don't want to face reality but next draft is loaded. No way Dame can handle this with CJ and Nurk out for a month, he will either go down himself or just become washed after a month of 40+ minutes with double teaming.
 
On paper this team looked very balanced coming into the season.

However, this team needed a major talent upgrade instead of complementary pieces around Dame/CJ.

Go big or go home. And now Dame is stuck on an island who needs to play 40min/per just to keep from getting blown out. This work load will surely shorten his prime.

Btw, isn’t this the same injury that he had in college and his rookie year?
 
I said when Nurk got hurt be careful the injury bug is contagious
 
Jesus christ i can't believe this bad luck. Nurk is one thing but w/o cj there is no way this team will keep its head above 500.

They are so screwed. Who can get those extra 30 points a night? You play on but now dame plays 40 min a night going forward against crappy teams. Dame will have a hard time staying healthy with all the extra wear and tear.

So the roster is now even smaller with a 2 legit ball handlers. Neil is a fucking dumbshit. Too arrogant to sign a backup point. Now he will bring in some Tolliver/hezonja/ type of junk and Kent and Hurd will ooh and ahh over. I repeat neil is a fucking idiot. You have to plan for injuries to some extent.

Olshey already adressed this issue in preseason and said there is no need as Simons is our backup PG. Let's see now how that plays out.

didnt nurk suffered a hairline fracture on his other leg, which caused him to miss rest of the regular season (small number of games) and then he tried to play in the playoffs against gsw, but wasnt able to

Foot injuries can be really tricky, especially since he's broken this same foot twice. I think we might have him on ice for much of the season.

I don't get this re-evaluation in a month business. Do they expect it to heal on its own? I don't want to have a situation where they realize nothing improved in a month and THEN they intervene with some invasive procedure and knock him out for the whole season.

Gonna read up on this a bit ugh-- see what I can find with regards to this injury. Would be nice if Neil does a media session, but he didn't even do one for Nurk.
 


He continued to play after getting stepped on. Wonder if that made it worse?
 
It makes sense, because of how his sprain happened. it wasn't rolled, it was stepped on and crushed.

This feels like 10 punches in the stomach. Wow, CJ has been ballin this year. I can't believe our bad luck continues. Wtf have the Blazers done to the basketball gods??

Feel super bad for CJ, as he was balling as well as any guard in the league. Hope he has a quick recovery!

Yes, but probably more so for Trent. I mean he is the guy fans wanted to start so we could trade CJ.
Even if Terry starts Hood, Trent will get more minutes at SG now instead of SG/SF
