CJ McCollum - DNP Clerical Error

WOW. Jay Allen just said multiple sources said in a conference call with the NBA, Terry and Glenn Rivers, the NBA gave them the OK to let CJ play if Rivers was okay with it. He said no.

I'd be heading straight to airport and getting out of Portland as quick as possible if I were him

I've never seen this happen before, and I've watched the NBA since 1971. But for many of those years the team limit was 12, and all could play. There was no BS about selecting 12 of the 15 players.

1) In the early years of the 15-player limit, the 3 players were put on a fake injured list before each game, the Injured Reserve List. But I'm not sure the IRL began in exactly the same year when the 15-player limit began. When did this pre-game ritual begin...was it exactly the same year when the team limit went up to 15? (In the early years, could all 15 play?)

2) Has this ever happened to another team?

3) Why can't all 15 be available, and eliminate the pre-game requirement? Who cares if a coach rarely plays all 15 in a blowout; it won't hurt anyone.

Should never have been put into Rivers' hands. The Clippers are looking at seeding for the playoffs, where they will fail again.

This firmly falls on the Blazers. But Rivers still is a jerk.

Funny thing is its gonna be the other away around in March...CJs gonna torch the clips and point at rivers after the game and laugh his ass out of the rose garden

Smart move by Rivers to keep our second best player off the floor. I'm not saying the Blazers were likely to win even with him in the game, but the Clips have playoff aspirations and one more win against a conference opponent never hurts; take 'em where you can get 'em.

As for the Blazers? Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick!! This is not the way to "stealth tank." They need to be way more subtle.

The most messed up part is Doc Rivers laughing at CJ at the end and opening his mouth....guy has no class...

If their were ever someone who DESERVES to be Bitch-slapped it's Doc Rivers.

*Sorry on my phone heading to work by Max and bus and can't make "deserves" bold or italicized.

You know, I don't know... we were only down by 6 twice late... with CJ out there, I think it would have mattered...

Man a large percentage of y'all are whiny butt hurt bitches about every little thing... Ohh Fire this guy, fire that guy, trade this guy, trade him. I demand Justice!!!

Its a freaking game, and in this case it was one game, that even if you have vested interest in the team, doesn't matter one whit of shit about this team this year.

What's the purpose of such an archaic system? Why not move everything to a tablet (the computer kind, not the even more archaic Biblical kind) that would automatically separate selections and non-selections between the Active and Inactive columns? A couple seconds with each coach would surely streamline the system and eliminate such issues. And Stern would be smiling somewhere at the lack of a paper trail.

I'm having a hard time believing this lone circleler theory. There had to have been a second circleler.

And jet fuel can't circle names on a piece of paper.

Thing is, if that was any other coach doing that to a guy like Kobe we'd probably be OK with it. I'm more concerned with Stotts putting him on the inactive list then what Doc Rivers did.

A dick move is a dick move, period. Class is class.

I'm sorry that doesn't fit your agenda.
