That motherfucker looks like he's soaking his head in baby oil before each game.

Like Mike Rice said at the end: " I almost hate the Clippers as much as the Lakers".

This wouldn't be an issue if they had done the inactive list correctly in the first place.

Exactly. If Stotts is sloppy enough to leave something like this in the hands of his opponent, then he only has himself to blame. Rivers did exactly what he was supposed to do; maximize his team's chance of success. Good for him.

Stotts owned it..I just wish he'd have played Montero CJ minutes

I don't know if it's even possible to say, "I almost hate the Clippers as much as I hate the Lakers. That's a lot of hate. I base everything on my UW Huskies hate. That's my, "Hey Doc Brown! Let's go back in time and burn down their original campus" kind of hate. Everything else is lesser shades of red.

tbh i dont see all the hate on the clipps, it was a little dicky of Doc to rub it in, but lets not get it twisted - the fuck up was 100% ours and....

if it had been like Houston leaving Harden off, just about everyone here would be laughing their shit off if we did the same as the Clipps & Stotts smirking at him.

be stupid... stupid shit happens.

The two are totally unrelated. The fuck up WAS 100% ours. That doesn't diminish the fact that Doc is a wretched, miserable, loathsome NBA coach, or that CP3 is one of the whiniest, floppiest ballsacks of the NBA.

I tuned in too late to hear it, but apparently Mychal Thompson ripped Doc for about an hour for taking the chicken shit approach.

100% right, but the hate for Doc is deep and valid. Did you watch his reaction when Davis had a put back that was questioned whether it was before or after the clock ran out? He claimed basketball interference and had a conniption fit. Then did you watch when his own guy clearly shoved his fingers through our net during a shot? Basket interference was called and again he flew off the handle. I didnt catch alot of the game, but I caught these scenarios. The guy oozes sleeziness....
And I liked him as a player...

I detest Doc Rivers as a coach because he whines at the refs nonstop every single game. Him rubbing it in with CJ after the game just adds to my perception of him being a tool. That said, expecting an opposing coach not to take advantage of a clerical error that works to his team's benefit is pretty dumb. Rules are rules and the Blazers really screwed the pooch last night. CJ playing might very well have been enough for the Blazers to have won the game last night, so the tankers among us should be thrilled by the stupid mistake.

I bet Terry actually looks at the roster sheet before he signs it from this point on.

I don't think anyone is taking the blame off of us for making the egregious, stupid error.

However, when the team it is against is the worst, whiniest crybabies that already try to look for any advantage... they dont deserve grace, either. They deserve the vile as much as we deserve the "WTF were you thinking", because they have a track record of being douchecanoes.

I'm not saying he's not a dick in a lot of cases, this is more for the people bashing the whole Clipper org with calling them classless, fuck them etc. Singular, yes Doc is mostly a dick, but lets not paint with the brush too broadly.... it's like saying everyone on the Blazers is a fucktard shortbus kid cause Stotts can't read a sheet.

We rolled out the red carpet of stupidity and he walked all over us.

Is is 'spirit of the game' cool etc? no. but as i said, if the shoe was on the other foot with harden/houston we'd be throwing parties n talking all kinds shit.

Yeah I agree with e_blazer. I hated him so much before that this does not change things. I would like to know however how many times this really has happened in the past and what the outcome was on if the player got to be re-activated.

But its not just Doc. ITs CP3, its Griffin. They all are whiny bitches and how do we know this isnt an active gameplan by Doc or thier GM toi try to sway refs with whiny bitchy pressure?

Right now there are several players that fit this description... Not just Doc. Doc is just the horse leading the carriage, the TEAM is a very whiny team over all. Fuck them....

Mike Rice tweeted it happens relatively often and the coaches almost always allow the player to play.

Dude... the whole team is horrible.

Have you seen what happens to relatively unwhiny players when they go there? they whine ALL THE TIME. So yes, you CAN brush it pretty broadly. It IS an organization wide problem. There's no disputing that.

I think there is more behind the scenes to be seen in this little mishap. I wouldn't be surprised if there is something going on in Blazers management. It certainly wouldn't be the first time.

Curious. Are you a conspiracy Theorist?

Your reputation is well earned.

I'm just saying that it wouldn't be the first time trouble has been brewing in Blazers management. The mishap by Stotts just seems silly.

So, you know this for a fact.

Because, news flash, every team has had a problem sometime in the organization. Even San Antonio.

In the words of Neil Olshey: "It's not breaking news, dude."

But, your effort is noted. Wasted, but noted.

4 words.

Drinks like a fish.

Well I guess this answers my question...somewhat

"Turns out, Rivers has made a similar mistake with his active roster twice over the last two seasons. But his moves involved marginal players. The Blazers' error involved one of their best, a shooting guard in the midst of a breakout season who ranks second on the team in scoring (21.0 points per game) and assists (4.4 per game). "

But everyone makes mistakes once in a while. So someone made a mistake... does that mean that NO is out of a job next week?
Meh... your digging for something that isnt there Im afraid.

I feel bad for the fans who paid money to see the Blazers play, and with CJ being our second-best player, that's a tough pill to swallow. Other than that, it's not a big deal considering the season we're having. And really, had it been against most other coaches, they wouldn't have been as petty as Doc Rivers.

Everyone is human. Everyone makes mistakes. On to the Warriors.
