on Chauncey:
"He's a very blunt person. He's very honest, we've already had a lot of conversations about what it will take on the defensive end. I've spoken to him about holding me and Dame accountable and that he's got to challenge us. We'll always be top 3 top 5 on offense but the only way for us to improve is to get dedicated on defensive end."

Of course Dame's going to be all in. Wherever he is he's going to be all in. He's not going to pull some Harden shit and play half ass. He's trying to win a championship here. Now, if he looks around and doesn't think that's possible, I think he'd still ask for a trade and keep playing like he's all it until he's traded. I don't think what CJ has said is news, this is how I'd expect Dame to be in this situation.
Sure, could happen eventually. I just don't think he'll look around by mid season and demand a trade, he'll give it some time, plus he's under contract. He's already look around and said they are not contenders with this roster, and if he thought the org wouldn't be able to make it happen, he would have asked out now, imo.Of course Dame's going to be all in. Unless as some writers have suggested he told Chauncey that he'd give him a shot at proving Dame wrong about the roster. The same writers think that he'll give this team some run and if no changes are made and we're losing to all of the good teams, then he'll ask out before the trade deadline but those are just some writers speculating. They're take on it is worth no more than yours. I actually think there will be a major move made between now and training camp and it will involve CJ but that might just be me being hopeful.Sure, could happen eventually. Yeah, Im thinking if the right deal for CJ is there Neil will pull the trigger, but not for another small forward or guard.Unless as some writers have suggested he told Chauncey that he'd give him a shot at proving Dame wrong about the roster. Not “ALL indication.” That was his stance a year ago but last month, he said “I have not made a firm decision about my future.” That is why there is concern. If Dame wanted out, why was he involved in the coaching hire? Like, some of y'all just need to get off of it.
Your hate for CJ is clouding your rational minds and your love for Dame is clouding your view of whether or not he wants to stay when he's given ALL indication that he does.
Take a deep breath...

Did you hear CJ in the Woj podcast? He confirmed Dame is all in.
Dame himself said the coaching change alone wasn't enough. We aren't making this shit up bro.If Dame wanted out, why was he involved in the coaching hire? Like, some of y'all just need to get off of it.

Well, to be fair. We haven't heard Dame say he is all in so really there's nothing to confirm. It could be an interpretation that he got from Dame.
And this is coming from someone who wants so badly for him to be all in. I just am a bit skeptical if it isn't coming from Dame himself, especially given his comments last month.
Maybe for this year. If we get bounced in the first are you convinced he isn't gonna be saying the same shit next year not fully committing to us? I'm not.Did you hear CJ in the Woj podcast? He confirmed Dame is all in.

Lots of people not taking Dame for his word this summer. I suppose it's possible he wasn't being honest, but it would be odd for him to pubically come out and lie he didn't think the coaching change alone would be enough when he actually would be statisfied by no significant roster moves being made.
Norm said Dame was excited to talk with him when he got back from Japan....CJ was working with Roco when Chauncey was hired....I feel really good about the new focus they're talking about...Dame asked Norm about championship defense after he joined the team on the road...can't wait until Norm gets a real training camp with the starters and they knock it out of the park...I really like what Chauncey said about corner 3s and how we never use them..I expect those to increaseIt’s been reported that at the time of that interview where he made the comment about the roster, his frustration had to do with the possibility of Powell leaving.
that’s his best friend who he’s around more than his own family. I’m pretty sure you can take it to the bank if he’s saying it. It’s a safe bet.
This is my personal opinion, but I also don’t think Dame is the type that would ask for a trade in the middle of a season. He’ll see how the year goes and then reassess next summer.
Whether or not CJ's words mean anything is up to the person listening the fact is that Dame tweeted out that he's not responding to anymore rumors so we're not getting word from him any time soon.I think so too.
Best friends or not, things can get lost in translation. I just prefer to hear it from Dame himself instead of playing telephone.

That doesn't make any sense. The question was basically if the roster that played the Nuggets could be contenders under Chauncey and Dame's answer was no that they wouldn't be good enough because they just lost to an injured Denver team. If Dame has changed his mind I'll be happy because he's my favorite player and more so than that the Blazers are my favorite team but I hardly feel like with what we've not done this off season, we're out of the woods in regards to Dame's uncertainty about his future. It’s been reported that at the time of that interview where he made the comment about the roster, his frustration had to do with the possibility of Powell leaving.

They are in denial. Then they get all mad at us when we want the team to do something to make Dame happy (or just trade Dame and start over if we aren't willing to make him happy). It is bonkers.Lots of people not taking Dame for his word this summer. Well I think with all of our first rounders intact and CJ and our young players (Ant, Nas and DJJ) we should be able to get something that makes Dame excited about being here. I don't think there's any reason to trade him now, just change the roster in a major way so he gives us more time. They are in denial. It's been reported that Dame was asking for a trade in the near future as well. Do you believe those reports? I don't, I'm taking Dame at his word, on both fronts.
