Free agent guard CJ Wilcox has agreed to a two-way deal with Portland, league sources tell ESPN.

Not a bad flier. Was known as a shooter in college. Never really had a chance in the league yet. God knows this bench unit could use a shooter.

I'll bet he could make it if we can sign him to a minimum salary structure deal.

Boom!!!!

Bout time we land a big one!

Kidding...he will be fine.

I'm not too familiar with the two way rules but this is basically just insurance because I don't think hes allowed to spend the entire season in the NBA.

He can spend up to 45 days (which includes non-game days, if the team desires) on the NBA roster for the season and his salary depends on which league he's in. So he's paid the NBA mininum for the days he's up and whatever his G-League salary is for the days he's down.

The Blazers should do this with @HCP.

The fuck is a two way deal?
The fuck with a two way deal is pretty good, but it's not quite as good as the deal with a two way fuck....

You can have a 15 man roster + 2 additional players who split time between the team and the g-league (formerly known as the dleague).

I thought it was Chris Wilcox at first for some reason

Wilcox diffently can shoot the ball especially from the 3. Needs work on his handles but with the cap as it is for this team he just might be up with the Blazers for good next year.

Perfect, he'll be our secret weapon for the WCF and the finals.

I don't know what the hell happened to my other post, but I asked this..... I thought we couldn't sign two way deals since we don't have our own G-League team. Am I wrong here???

You're wrong. It doesn't matter.

I don't really like this move. They guy is almost 27. If you're going to invest in the dleague player, at least pick one with youth & SOME upside

Theory: his age doesn't matter because he is a practice player.

Conspiracy theory: The agent for CJ Wilcox is .... Aaron Mintz, whose other clients are...
Ed Davis
Meyers Leonard
Allen Crabbe
Paul George!
