Welcome to Corvallis, Erin...

"ALERT: The Lee Corso Gm Day mascot head was stolen in Corvallis..a bad way to end our 1st visit..if u took it, or know who did, plz return!"

"This isn't the way we want to remember @GameDayFootball 1st trip Corvallis..be cool Oregon St, and get it back to the show..Stay classy"

BTW: Check out Erin's FB page. She seems to have a lot of pictures of Oregon, The Duck and the Oregon dance team. Cool!

It sucks because a lot of us sports fanatics kinda view Corso as that crazy uncle....

But, honestly, when I was a 18-19 year old punk, two decades ago, a Corso head would be an impressive score! Right?

Funny that they jacked it. It would be classy to return it.

How do they know that they did it? This story is missing some information.

the main thing is that ESPN got their expensive prop back. Every fanbase has idiots rooting for them, even Oregon. Pretty doubtful any of the idiots involved here had any real malicious intent... probably just drunk and overly excited in the moment and wanting to wear the Corso head until it got heavy

Yeah, I really don't think they should prosecute the guys. They returned the item without any damage I would assume. Let bygones be bygones.

Stay Classy Oregon Fans....

CORVALLIS — Talk about fanning the flames.

A post-Civil War fire allegedly set by Oregon Duck football fans has burned the “Beavers.” Literally.

“It’s pretty noticeable,” said Steve Fenk, an Oregon State University assistant athletic director. Not only is it noticeable, the burn marks on the ‘r’ of the “Beavers” logo in the middle of OSU’s football field could cost more than $5,000 to repair because the entire logo will have to be replaced, Fenk said. Otherwise, simply placing a patch of new turf on the burn marks would stand out from the older turf, he said.

I used to love the Ducks. Was a huge Duck fan growing up. I ended up going to OSU for college though, and to be honest I still rooted for the Ducks when you guys had Dennis Dixon and were flirting with a national championship.

Going to Reser during Civil War games and having Duck fans become belligerent buttholes to me changed my mind though.

BTW, What does hunting camo have to do with anything? I'd say burning the reser field is pretty classless.

I was just pointing fun because the title was Classic Corvallis when it seems like both instances of chaos came from Oregon fans.

Corvallis actually was a very nice city to live in. The people there were 10 times nicer than people in Portland

So you should understand that the team is on top right now, and that usually means front runners. Can't lump the program and all Ducks fans in with the lousy ones. I know plenty of perfectly normal Duck fans, just as I know plenty of perfectly normal Beavers fans. I do agree that there are some dipshit fans who follow UO though, but that could be said about any sports team.
