Not that you want to deal with injuries to key players but they're better at the start of the season than the end of the season. That being said I would feel better about Nash if it wasn't a head injury. There's just no definitive time table with those things. Hags I hear was cleared for contact and it shooting for an end of the month return against the Islanders. That brings me to Callahan. You have to love the way he plays the game. You would never want to prohibit a guy going all out and playing hard. That being said unless you want to see him with constant broken bones he has to know when to stay out of harms way. You cannot have your top forwards constantly getting in the way of shots.

What they need is for a freakin forward draft pick to actually work out and score at the level of a Callahan. What they need is for Kreider to grow a work ethic and become a 25-25 guy at worst. What they need is for Miller to be a 15-20 guy in a full rookie season. That is what they need.

That's why I would go after Hemsky at least for the rest of this year, which wouldn't cost too much since he's a UFA. If Kreider comes up and adds 10-15 even better, but with Nash indefinate they need a proven scorer. You might be able to get him for DZ straight up.
