According to a few mock drafts.

NFLDraftScout.com's Chad Reuter has a 2012 Mock Draft up and he projects Harris going 20th in the first round to Detroit.

Reuter wrote:

Another talented player who is just starting to "get it," Harris' cover and ball skills may allow teams to overlook his slight build. He could go higher than this with a really strong year.

CBSSports.com Senior Writer Pete Prisco ranks Harris as the No. 6 prospect in the entire 2012 draft. CBSSports.com

Wrote Prisco:

This is a smooth cover player who can also return kicks. He plays a ton of man coverage at Oregon, which NFL scouts love.

ESPN’s Todd McShay, in an Insider column, projects Harris going No. 21 to Dallas. He writes that Harris has a lot of work to do but few players show more big-play ability.

Other Mock Drafts are even kinder to Harris.

Walterfootball.com has Harris going No. 14 to San Francisco.

Draftsite.com projects Harris to San Francisco at No. 7 and running back LaMichael James going to the St. Louis Rams at No. 14.

FoxSports.com'sPeter Schrager goes one better. He has Harris going No. 4 to Cincinnati.

crap I dont know how to make a link into words :( Mod fail!

Mod redemption!

anywhoo... I think Cliff needs to put on a good 20 lbs at least.. but I'm not foolish enough to think he stays around for his senior year.. although I would not complain if he surprised me and stayed 2 more years.

thanks lol. I had to go to an old thread where I remembered doing it. Edit that post to view how I did it

This will be an interesting year for Harris. Will he build on what he did last year? Few players have his "big play" ability. He's probably one of my favorite guys to watch, but it also seemed like his numbers went down a bit when QBs figured out they couldn't throw near him. He's still an amazing return man though.

Thats the sign of a great DB... I remember when Champ Bailey was still in his prime in Denver.. you wouldnt hear his name hardly all game, that just means he's shutting his side of the field down. That makes the opposing offense that more predictable.

Champ Bailey ain't got nothin on Nnamdi Asomugha.

Asomugha is the poster child for guys with no stats because dude gets thrown at maybe 20 times a whole season.

maybe more recently yes... but Prime Champ Bailey in his first few years in Denver... No chance :tsktsk:

Reminds me more of Darrell Green with a Deion Sanders personality. Great coverage skills but the NFL will question his tackling ability.

If Harris goes in the first round that will really help Oregon's defensive recruiting.

Just saw this.... huh? Asomugha is so good he never even gets thrown to. Guys that get big INT numbers have nothing on a dude that quarterbacks crap their pants at throwing to so they won't even try it.

I was saying that a prime Champ Bailey > Asomugha I wasnt saying anything about INT #'s :)

How isnt it so? ;) Its all conjecture my good friend... mine just happens to be right :devilwink:

Well if we're going by more impressive resume then Bailey's is better than Nmandi's.

Bailey has 3 1st team all-NFL selections and 3 2nd team all-NFL selections.
Nmandi has 2 1st team all-NFL selections and 2 2nd team all-NFL selections.

Bailey is a 10 time pro-bowler to Nmandi's 4.

Champ Bailey was named to the 2000's all decade team.

Bailey has 48 interceptions to Nmandi's 11.

you can't expect a Raiders fan to concede that the Rockies are taller then Mt Davis let along that a Bronco great is better then a Raider great...

Lets throw at the fact that qb's throw towards nnamdi less than two times a game. How many times do they throw it champs way? :)

That's why I included all-NFL selections showing how much people respect Bailey's skills regardless of how many times a QB throws his way or not. Secondly it could be argued that turnovers are huge momentum swings and are probably valued as much as being able to shut down one side of the field, which Bailey in his prime was also able to do.

I still dont understand this... This question is worded in present tense. I freely concede that Champ is not on the same level now.

Rich Gannon > John Elway too I bet ;)

Nope, but nice try.

It's always fun throwing out things that are irrelevant to back up your point.

oh you were serious? lol I was just flipping crap. Didnt know you were treating this all as fact. Especially when there is literally no way to prove these as fact. Differences of opinion are ok my friend.
