It's cool dude, its not TERRIBLE text but I've seen better, you just need to sit down for a while and figure out what would work best with what you have to begin with and go from there.There's prolly some tuts out there you could look at to get started.As for the text you used on this, its not terrible but you could of put for of an effect on it or something, right now it's too one dimensional and boring. Also, looks like there's too much distance between the P and the o in "Portis"

BG needs more detail IMO. Text isn't so good either. Just keep trying new things with that.
