I worry about the inevitable warmup of Blake and CP3... but LA could warm up too, so we can improve too.

Only reason this is not a blowout is because the refs have given the Clippers 7 points. BS call on the floor that sent Billups to the line, BS Reggie Evans flop, then the inbounder who stepped in.

And why do the refs always call travelling on the Blazers and never call it on the other team? Anyone notice that? We always get that chinsy call, and Mo Williams is allowed to double dribble, no call.

Well then what "slump" are you talking about? A bad game or two? That's not a "slump"

Okay first of all I'm not complaining and think we are lucky to have him. So let's get that part straight. But he had a 2-4 game, 4-10 game, 4-14 game, and a 4-14 game.

Why take LA out with 2 minutes in the half? I never get that move, why not finish strong? He didn't play much in the 1st because of foul trouble.

I don't really think there's been any intentional bias on the part of the referees ... they're just calling a horrible game. Hopefully it balances out in the second half.

He had two fouls and wasn't doing much out there... with as weird as the game call has been, might as wel prevent a 3rd foul... plus he gets 18 minutes straight rest by getting the last two minutes off.

You answered your own question I think.

It's horrible for both teams... that tripping foul on CP3 was hilarious... as was the push that got Batum to the line. We've gotten some gifts.

We weren't talking about his shooting, we were talking about his defense. Frankly, I thought he was pretty overrated last year at that end of the floor.

Yeah the refs have been awful for both teams. Great defense by the Blazers this half though. Now we just need Wallace to keep up the intensity and Aldridge to hit some shots to finish this one off!

I think a bad ankle hurt him on that. Right now though, his DRtg is under 100, which is spectacular.

I was talking about his shooting, since usually "slump" means that. I've never thought his d was bad this season. I think we need him to score because it spreads out the d. If he can make those shots, then Aldridge will have a much easier time in the game, IMO.

2 fouls late in the 2nd half isn't foul trouble though....well I guess it is in Nate's book, he's always 1 behind all other conventional wisdom as to what is 'foul trouble'. If you get your 5th foul, you've fouled out in Nate's book.

Both teams? I only remember one chincy call on the Clippers, and about 5 really bad ones on Portland.

Utah on 5 game winning streak, hottest team in the NBA. Damn, our division is tough.

If he picked up a cheap third when the game is fairly well in hand? That would look pretty silly when he could end up having to guard a FTA machine in Griffin in the second half.

How about Crawford?! Will he ever shoot in the 40% range this season? One thing I like is he's looking to find the open man this game.

Super ... I guess you were having a conversation with yourself, because that's not what was being discussed.
