why are you assuming all those comments over 3 months are about the same trade?
Well, even if you don't take any of the clues as recent comments. Run the data and find a Eastern Conference team that would have a PG & SF that would make the Blazers a championship caliber team.
Seriously remove the emotions, stay with the data. Take the top 10 Eastern Conference teams as highly unlikely there will make a trade that will disrupt their chances of making the playoffs.
- Boston (Rajon Rondo & Paul Pierce)
- Cleveland (Mo Williams & LeBron James)
- Orlando (Jameer Nelson & Hedo Turkoglu or Rashard Lewis)
- Atlanta (Mike Bibby & Josh Smith or Marvin Williams)
- Miami (Daequan Cook & Shawn Marion)
- Detroit (Allen Iverson & Tayshaun Prince)
- Philadelphia (Andre Miller & Thaddeus Young)
- Milwaukee (Luke Ridnour & Richard Jefferson)
- New Jersey (Devin Harris & Vince Carter)
- New York (Chris Duhon or Nate Robinson & Quentin Richardson or Al Harrington)
Washington is the best with talent, followed by Charlotte & Indiana as the top three of the five bottom teams with enough talent.
- Chicago (Kirk Hinrich & Larry Hughes or Andres Nocioni) (i.e. Bulls said they are building their franchise around Derrick Rose & Loul Deng)
- Charlotte (Raymond Felton & Gerald Wallace)
- Indiana (TJ Ford & Mike Dunleavy) (i.e. Pacers aren't trading Granger who just became an all-star)
- Toronto (Jose Calderon & Jason Kapono)
- Washington (Gilbert Arenas & Caron Butler)
BTW, Chris Sheridan comments on Washington not trading is the same person that said trading LaFrenz, Outlaw and Fernandez could get Portland Vince Carter.....
