Clutchfans tears taste delish

Harden can drop 30 points without the refs. Whatever rep he had last year because of fouls he has shed in spades this year. Not even close, he's had outstanding games whether he gets to the line 20x or 2...and some games the refs decide to call nothing at all and he'll still get buckets because of his added step-back.

I don't understand why people don't think he's improved his game. He's 25 and he's a top 5 player in the NBA, had a bad playoffs last year but it's a bit much to just expect that's how it's going to go forever and ever. Players grow, players mature, players improve. Dirk was a soft choker until he won a championship, fans never learn that what happened last year is last year. You beat a different team last year then the team you would play this year.

We are 1-1 against you guys this year, don't even mention injuries please. We've had our share.

Dr.Lowe the doctor that is treating Howard has said multiple times that it is a bone bruise, no ligament damage. Him playing through it earlier made it worse or whatever and they decided to sit him Why the injection? The doctor has said basically it was because he would be out that time any ways. Overall, the Doctor that treat him (and another doctor) have both been very positive about Dwight's injury. Both seem to be pretty confident that he's going to be good coming back and looking more like himself.

My meter on this is at about 30%, with 100% meaning full blown panic. I'm no doctor and if more than one doctor is telling me "Oh, it's just this he'll be fine." then I'll go with that.
We've had more injuries than you guys this year. Not even close.

No it isn't. You're 100% wrong here, there is no arguing this point. It isn't the same injury as Roy's was. End of story. Period.
How do you know? Are you some sort of medical expert and you've examined Howarf yourself?

If you say so...

I don't say so, this is not coming from me but from doctors around the situation and even Howard. If you don't want to believe that and want to compare the situation to any other player, that's on you I guess.

One thing to note that any one with basic medical training would probably tell you that no two injuries are the same any how with two different people. Just comparing it to Roy because both have injured a knee seems a bit out there to me, they are not the same injury as one injured his meniscus and the other did not.

"You should have stopped when you said you are not a doctor. You have no medical or sports medicine training so chill out. Dwight's injury is on the non weight bearing portion of his knee, the knee cap. This is not the same thing that lay people come to understand with cartilage damage. He has bone edema, not knee swelling. Jadeveon Clowney had knee swelling and had microfracture because it was the weight bearing portion of the knee between the thigh and shin bones.

I am a sports physical therapist who deals with this type of stuff regulary so listen closely. Dr. Lowe came out and said what Dwight had was the equivalent of a bone bruise. That means the MRI showed a hot spot in the bone. We typically see bone bruises after an ACL injury. When the ACL tears the bones bang together quickly causing a bone bruise aka bone edema. What Dwight has is a slow gradual onset of the same thing. Clowney's knee blew up like a balloon with swelling. Dwight's knee shows a hot spot. Will he eventually need surgery? Maybe. But it doesn't necessarily mean it's microfracture. If the damage is tiny there is nothing to microfracture. If there is excessive pressure on the lateral side of his knee the doctor could do a lateral release to help the knee cap track better and/or a chondroplasty to smooth out cartilage that has roughened up. A chondroplasty is part of every knee scope and is a fancy word for smoothing out cartilage where damage has occurred. If you have torn your meniscus or ACL and had surgery you had a chondroplasty...

Dwight Howard: "I knew it wasn't anything structural [with the knee]. That right there is a blessing."

Lowe says the "6 to 8 weeks" is just an estimate. Could ramp Dwight's activity up even sooner than the 4-week checkup mark if leg is ready.

We all know the denial well. Blazer fans said the same thing years ago. We used to say "CP3 made it through, Roy will do the same". In a couple years, we can have this convo again. It is the same

Bro, bro, bro....

Dude we've heard these same words from Roy and the medical staff. "The injury wasn't structural, etc". Just wait, the time will come when you will come to grasp with this injury like Blazer fans did with Roy

Even if D Ho's knees are OK it's not going to fix his brain or turn him into a good basketball player.

You're not going to convince anyone here.

Watching Dwight move laterally like Kendrick Perkins is more than enough proof that his knees are very arthritic.

Hope for the best for Howard.

It sucks to have to go through an injury, and we really shouldn't be telling a fan base someone is over. We certainly didn't want to hear it with Roy.

Except that again, Chris Paul tore cartilage in his knee, ROY DID. Dwight DID NOT.

I'm in denial, I'm telling you the facts of the situation. Makes it seem like you are just hoping it is true at this point.

At least if he is done the rocket fans never would feel the devastating pain of losing what was basically a franchise savior... The homegrown golden boy whose angelic hands were firmly gripped on every Blazer fans soul.

I don't wish injury true to any player, even if I absolutely hate him. It's a sad sad thing

Well realistically, if he is done (and i've said it is a possibility, again though I don't know. If what the doctor says is true then it sounds like this particular injury is not a problem.) but if he is, he's not signed for long. So it's not a Amare Stoudamire situation.

It would just mean that Morey would put all his cards on the table and try to do what he could and go after Harden's pal Durant knowing that Dwight's money would be off the books.

Why would Durant go to Houston? For Harden? He's got a good thing in OKC.

Yeah, him and Harden are pretty buddy buddy...supposedly he's better friends with Harden than he is Westbrook.

I don't know why he'd leave OKC, but that rumor train has started already.

Why would Durant pick Houston over DC would be a better question.

Durant is already pretty familiar with the state, playing in OKC and being a Longhorn. It's really not a farfetched idea (Rockets have a history of wooing FAs as well) players don't go running to play for their hometown team any ways outside of Lebron. It's usually said to be too much of a distraction.

I wouldn't sell friendships short in the NBA.

How would that work? Howard is on the books until the end of the '17 season. Durant is a FA after the '16 season.

Yes, DC is his hometown but stylistically he fits them with Wall better than Houston with Harden. Also playing in the East means he is pretty much guaranteed ECF every year.

Howard has a ETO, which is funny because it was always considered. "We hope he resigns." and it could turn around into the opposite if his injury is serious.

With that said, the Rockets would have to do some maneuvering to get it to work, I'm no cap expert but over on Clutchfans there's a guy that's great with it. It's possible though, that's what I meant by Morey putting all his cards on the table which pretty much means a series of cap clearing moves.

Either way the point I was making is that Dwight isn't a long term problem like Amare was when he had his injury issues. No one really knows who will go any where years from now any ways, the stuff with Harden are just rumors as is anything.

I do know though that Harden worked on getting Dwight here, like...that was a long term thing. That he knew was upcoming as in trying to befriend the guy during the all-star game the year before and admitting that he was recruiting. Kind of like the Miami get together, that was a long term thing that those guys talked about long before it happening.

I think if you get two guys like that together they make it work. They already have played together and have been to a finals together. I think it could work. I think it would work better than Harden/Dwight works, Harden is a pass first guy as crazy as that sounds. He spends a large chunk of games supporting and then scores in chunks here and there. He kind of needs someone to dish it off to and just play off of every now and then. Motiejunas scores pretty well but they never post him up any ways so...

Either way it's hard to say what is in a players mind. Wall's a terrific player, I wouldn't even be mad if he went there. As long as he's not one of those dumb "I'm going to play in NYC or LA and raise my brand name!!" guys and basing his decision on who he thinks he can win with then Washington would be a great choice too.

It's so far off and I hope I don't even care about who to pair with Harden because I'd rather just have 4-5 more good years with Dwight playing great.

"I think it's bone on bone."

Bone on bone is better than the boning on underage girls he was doing last offseason.

No Dwight Howard??? The beard does self proclaim quite a bit.

eh, fuck the rockets. and fuck harden and his drama shows.

For Harden to take 23 foul shots is the reason why I hate the NBA. He attempted as many free throws as our ENTIRE TEAM.

Harden is the most manufactured star in the league.

Reading their game thread... I understand the complaining about the refs. every fan complains about them.
What I don't understand is how anyone could think the foul Nards gave on Harden with 52 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.... how anyone could believe that was a flagrant?

Honestly regardless of "not going for the ball" it's not a flagrant. be different if he hit him in the face... But Harden didn't even grab for his face...
I'd say the same thing if Lillard or Aldridge got hit like that.
Common foul.. Move on.

Because their fan base are filled mainly with ignorant pieces of shit... Simple as that

Playing for the most entitled fan base in the league. I never thought anyone would pass the Lakers in that regard, but when the league coddles your stars, the sense of entitlement seems to flow down to your fans - and get magnified in the process.

I think Harden should try out for Dancing With The Stars. The way he shuffles his feet, he'd be a natural.
