A student who survived the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School said he refused to attend CNN’s town hall on the massacre because he was asked to read scripted questions.

“CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions, and it ended up being all scripted,” junior Colton Haab told ABC affiliate Local 10 News Wednesday.

U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson attended the town hall, held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel and National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch also heard from survivors.

But Haab, a 17-year-old Junior ROTC member, who used Kevlar sheets to shield his classmates from gunfire declined an invitation to the event.

“I expected to be able to ask my questions and give my opinion on my questions,” he told Local 10 News.

The teenager hoped to provide suggestions for improving school safety, including using veterans as armed security guards at school.

But he said he wasn’t allowed to voice his opinions.

“I don’t think that it’s going to get anything accomplished. It’s not going to ask any of the true questions that all the parents and teachers and students have,” Haab told Local 10 News.



After this kid came out, cnn made a statement claiming they never scripted questions...



So why is it okay for cnn to exploit these kids for their own agenda? The past week all they have done is pander to audiences about it being about the kids, the kids! Yet you say this kid is lying? What reason does he have to lie? By the way, cnn has done this before. Does anybody recall. Remember when Donna Brazile shared scripted questions to Hillary Clinton?

Nope, and if anything they'll just stick to their guns (pun intended) about how this was a conspiracy to get rid of all guns or that CNN is "fake" news.

It goes from it being what the kid sent in (the original edit) to implying it's what CNN sent him (in the dads edit).

It's obvious the dad (and possibly the son) had an agenda going in the question. They thought they could out-smart the internet and continue the "CNN is fake news" meme that the President has propagated and they failed at it.

Then he submitted a statement, multiple questions, answers to his own questions and a closing statement. CNN asked him to use his original question. That's not scripting someone.

Why was Abe edited out? Perhaps because he took his entire box of fish food and dumped it into the pond. Trump followed Abe's lead and did the same seconds later.
