I can honestly say this is one of the most genuine and down to earth coaches I’ve ever met in all my years with the team. Monty Williams, Billy Bayno, Joe Prunty are up there as well.
I think some on here some forget these players and coaches are people too. Have drama in their lives, dealing with issues like we do. So easy to critique without taking a step back and seeing whats really going on.
This is a great read about how this man never stopped grinding and hustling. Mad respect for Coach Oz.

Back in my days at U of P, there would be basketball games played during the lunch hour on Mondays and Wednesdays with some faculty (mostly coaches) and students along with a contingency of Blazer management group and Stu Inman was always there and it was nice to meet and play with and against him in a friendly atmosphere and showed that he was a very friendly and down to earth guy, Like you said, it's easy to forget that these people are human just like the rest of us and have good days and bad days like anyone else and often times expect perfection from them when we are just as flawed if not more.

The article described his many jobs, all as Assistant Coach. The only exception, kind of, was right after college, he was a high school freshman team head coach for 3 years. But that's usually like an assistant to the varsity coach.
