Keefe would be my first choice. No doubt about it. However, I wouldn't mind seeing what Darryl Sutter would do. I also like Drew Bannister who coaches the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL. That would be a guy I took a long look it. He's about 46.

Keefe is my guy also. Don't know if he'll be tied to the AGM in Toronto or not though. Also I rather have Tippett than Sutter if we went retread, but I rather go fresh and go with Keefe (or Quinn if Keefe is not interested).

Been calling for Keefe for months. Would love to see him but if not give me a top young successful coach who can grow with this young team. They also need to have another talk with Hank if he's still willing to stay thru the rebuild which will have to let young players make mistakes thru their growing pains without going berserk every time they make one. I hope we can get some of that god damn pitt luck with the damn lottery this time and come out with a stud. Regardless were getting a good player from 8-11 and can add assets with our other picks to move up in first round. Exciting time going forward for rangers fans with the youth thats coming. Absolutely important Gorton gets the right young coach here for this team. And please no retreads

Tippett and Bill Peters are being mentioned. Montgomery from the U of Denver also.

The fact that Gorton isn't a hockey guy could be an advantage in the Rangers search for a new coach, perhaps he'll think outside the box and not hire a retread.

Hope they select their bench coaching team before the draft. Also, anybody think Gorton will trade
anyone else for an extra #2 or #3 or #4???

I could see him packaging one of the later ones with a player to move up into the teens

My favorite candidate Montgomery is off the table, and Quinn is going back to BU. We'll see with Keefe but it may come down to a Tippett/Bylsma type.

F no to Tippett. He's worse than Renney coaching offense.

I wonder if Gorton has the balls Sather never had? We shall see.
