As much as Lawrence Frank claims to herald defense, there are some obvios mistakes to his defensive strategy. Tonight vs Celtics is a great example.

The main issue here is that rarely, if ever, should the opposing big man be doubled. That is double true for teams like the Celtics with legitimate perimeter shooters like Pierce, Allen, and House.

Garnett should not have been double teamed. Just play good D and make him a jump shooter. At least he will be working for his points and getting tired, as opposed to Pierce, Allen, and House getting wide open looks. Espeically for 3's.

The secondary issue here is matchups. Lawrance Frank is too stubborn with his rotations. Someone like Garnett should have been guarded by Sean Williams from the start, with Collins on him from time to time. Collins would go mainly against Glen Davis and Perkins, and Magoire would go against Perkins.

Krstic is still not 100%. He needs to be brought back more slowly. Garnett abused him tonight.

C'mon Lawrence, stop being so stubborn!
