The M16 on MW2 doesn't come close to the M16 on MW1. I'd even put the Famas above the M16. In fact, I think the Famas is MW2 version of MW1's M16.

IMO, the ACR is a far superior weapon.

And when you get used to the 1887 the gun is a blast!

I dont really see a difference in it IMO.. to me its kind of like the Red Dot and Holographic discussion we had. I have the most kills with M16 out of the 3 round bursts... but I used FAMAS a lot.

I just unlocked the m16.... wow.... that gun owns.

It's like playing hardcore but on regular TDM. The three round burst pretty much puts anyone down.

I'm just about to unlock the M16, I always pick it up when I have the chance, it's pretty sweet.

so last night the servers glitched or something.. and each game I played was like double the speed. So effing fun. The whole voice was sounding like Alvin and the chipmunks.. running around at double speed with either the 1887 or the knife class... SO INSANE!!!!!!!!! I was gonna go to bed but I had fun playing that for like 2 hours.

you will be happy to know that the 1887's were rebalanced in a recent patch by infinity ward. I tried it out yesterday to test it out.. and yes they have much less range now.. which makes sense. My work pc's wont allow video game sites to get you a link though sorry

I thought that I had read the PS3 one had been in effect for a while.. and the Xbox Live one just happened yesterday in the morning. Sorry not sure about PC though.

interesting.. that would make sense. Although now with the range from the patch.. I think the guns are much more fair.. You probably have to be within 8-10 feet now to get a 2 shot kill (even with the stopping power perk) as opposed to one shot kill with a 25 foot range lol.

yeah they are pretty much garbage now.. although I heard (from the youtube comments so fwiw) that if you use FMJ and the akimbo.. so the Bling perk.. that you can barely tell the difference. I'll have to test it out after work and report back here.

lol the KD ratio did seem to go down when I unlocked them as well.. since you are out in the open more. mine wen tfrom 1.58 to 1.51 when I unlocked them and used them. It was fun.. but not good for the scores.

Just picked this game up for PS3, never played any of these before. I was never a big FPS fan, but I spent out hours playing it Monday. I still suck, but my username on PS3 is 'WidmerHefe'. Feel free to add.
