College Graduates Mal Employment

In 2007 the percentage of college grads working jobs not requiring a degree was 27.4% and now it's 36.7%. Mal employed recent college grads earn 40% less than their peers who found work requiring a college degree and with the cost of student loans things just keep getting worse.

My two stepsons graduated in 2011 and the one with a mathmatics degree w/associated teaching certificate works as an I.T. tech and the one with a Communications degree works as a librarian tech. Both jobs don't require a degree.

The "American Dream" didn't involve taking on student loans. The idea that everybody should be getting advanced degrees silly. When everybody goes to get advanced degrees, you haven't accomplished anything other than taking on student loans.

best bet is to move to North Dakota and work in the oil industry. :MARIS61: all regular jobs out there are shit now. turnover is high and even with a degree you're looking at entry level bullshit forever.

Back when I was a young man, you dropped out of High School and got a job that supported a stay at home wife and kid, in the factory! They just have it too easy now.

I only went there in HS as an exchange student and I hooked up with one of my host sister's friends who was a few years older. Not korean, I'm filipino. Its the chinese they are mainly against..but since I'm from the US it won't matter really anyway.

I'd probably do ok...I think me being from California really would help me out as it did in Europe...people around the world have this vision of California which is from the movies, etc and gives me a lot of conversational topics. I'm also good at talking and bullshitting people to get what i need.

Not that bad of an idea! I have family doing that making six figures and he works two weeks on and two weeks off. He wanted to be a teacher. Of course it's tough on his wife and kids when he's gone, but great when he's home.
