Politics Colorado Supreme Court Rules Trump is Ineligible to Appear on Ballot Due to 14th Amendment

Nobody. Its dumb.
Certainly, nobody has has come as close to insurrection as Trump, I'll agree with that.

I believe Trump is guilty and unfit to hold any public office based on what public information we know is fact. I believe he should spend the rest of his life in jail in fact.

His actions and words had clear intent, and the mob tried to execute his will. But they failed.

As much as I despise some of them, I can't think of any other American politician who comes close. If we don't prosecute Trump, I can't imagine a scenario in which that law would ever be used.

If there were a worse offense there would likely be no democracy left to protect.

I think the actual problem is that it is your source of "facts" that is faulty. For just one example - Russiagate was no hoax. And I will quote an actual, established, real news source, The Atlantic:

"The report confirms that Russiagate is no hoax. Manafort and Kilimnik talked almost daily during the campaign. They communicated through encrypted technologies set to automatically erase their correspondence; they spoke using code words and shared access to an email account. It’s worth pausing on these facts: The chairman of the Trump campaign was in daily contact with a Russian agent, constantly sharing confidential information with him. That alone makes for one of the worst scandals in American political history."

You think we don't like Trump's personality. I find many on the right think that. That is incorrect. What we object to is that he is wanna-be dictator who loathes the rule of law, and our system of government, and cares not a whit about the Constitution. That is is also a stupid blowhard doesn't help.

I literally quit reading your post after “The Atlantic” You’d be hard pressed to find a more propagandist establishment source. Contributors the likes of Bill Kristol and David Frum who almost single handedly manufactured consent for the Iraq war based on misinformation are not who I look to for honest information. Jeffrey Goldberg is their editor in chief lol. Another neocon psychopath. Jesus man you should do some research into the ghouls running your favorite media outlets and the lies and damage they’ve done. You do realize you are quoting an outlet run by Bush-era conservatives larping as liberals, right?

Sorry, you're right. I should have quoted Newsmax. :breakdance:

And interestingly, you didn't respond to what I actually said. It was quoting the Republican Senate report.

Damn facts, the scourge of the right!

The fact that the "ideas" that you choose to defend are "trump isn't a criminal" and "russia isn't at fault, ukraine is" really do call into question your self-proclaimed moral compass.

Those blanket statements are hardly reflective of my actual thoughts. I don’t think of you or anyone else here as unintelligent, so resorting to the most surface level interpretation of the things I say is discouraging to see. I like to think I dive a little deeper than “Ukraine sux, Russia is badass fam” and “Trump’s my dogg”when opining on current events. At some point egregious misinterpretation has to fall back on the person receiving the information. We all know my trolling is something to behold, maybe the best ever, but it’s not my only skill and I like to think I’m capable of relaying ideas that can’t be boiled down to the most basic “bad guy” trope.

And he would have gone to the Capitol with them had the secret service not intervened.

I'd like to think that too. Please provide evidence.

Has been since at least 2003, but probably closer to 1973. They make up narratives that are easily refutable with documented evidence, or observation with your eyes or ears. But instead, they choose not to believe those things because they come from sources they’ve been programmed not to believe. We need to dust off the anti-nazification teachings the gov’t used after WW2 on these folks. After years of denial, and eating up of propaganda it’s hard to get deprogrammed.
