I really hope Helf uses him more than Chip did, even out of the backfield this year to take some carries. There is no reason Colt can't take some snaps with DAT in the TAZR.

Conference rivals are going to smaller faster players to try to keep up with the Ducks speed. I'm looking forward to seeing if they add more of Colt lining up in the backfield to counter this.

I still think Chip's stubborn nature led to the Stanford loss. Lyerla should have had 10 catches that game the way Stanford was defending the run, and eventually a vertical pass to Huff would have been wide open. Plus, there was way too little of DAT in that game touching the ball.

Colt's blocking was needed, especially on the end. Oregon converted around 25% of third downs, zero fourth downs and our kicked missed from 41 and 42 yards. Colt had the most receiving yards for Oregon that game...and on 37 pass attempts, targeting your TE 10+ times as you state, is going to lead to issues from the DE. Glad you're not calling the plays.
