Over at Oregon live, trailblazerf said he works for comcast, and that they would ink out a deal today with both directv and dish, can anyone confirm if this is true or not? Thanks.

Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugh... I hate relying on posters on OLive for breaking news.. hopefully it's true though! No more sitting in front of a computer screen watching a 3 inch square!

Please let this be true. Please please please please pleeeeeaaaaasssse!

Next we gotta get Comcast to sign agreements with all the other providers to carry the HD feed on their channels. I've got Verizon FiOS, and I have been getting CSNW since I signed up, but they don't have a dedicated HD channel like Comcast does.

God I hope this is true. This would be the best Christmas present. I just want to see a offical link from Directv/Dish or Comcast. Please please please be true!!!!!!!

I have done a little checking from people that have some info from Directv and they haven't heard anything but I still have hope. Please!

Dude! You can't confirm??? Get in the game man! Go find something out! Talk to Dick or something!!! Slacker.

Hey, they don't invite the HCP to those meetings! Trust me, I'm runnin' things, but they don't tell me everything! They know I'd post it on here!

That would be great for most suffering Blazers fans, too bad for us who are on Charter however.

Yeah, same here. Same situation w/ Verizon FiOS. But that is definitely secondary to gettin' the Blazer fans some Blazers BBALL!!! Come on, get this done!

But actually, i'd rather have FiOS start carrying the NBA package. We don't get NBAtv and don't even have the option of getting League Pass (which i would get in a second if offered). I think i'd rather get those than HD. How bout you?

I'll believe it when I see it show up on my DirectTV channel listing. Not before.

Got a letter from Verizon the other day in the mail saying they are adding NBATV and NBATV-HD to the standard package soon. Not sure about NBA League Pass, but that's pretty likely after reaching a deal with NBATV.

There's no dedicated HD channel in Seattle even though we're part of the market and I'm on Comcast...

When you are watching the Blazer game tonight, check whatever the HD channel is for MOJO. In Portland, it's 788 I think. That's the channel Comcast uses when they broadcast CSNW HD-capable games. I've heard some Comcast subscribers say that the games never show up on their on-screen guide for that channel, but when the games are on, that channel is showing the HD feed. You might give it a shot.

Also - CSNW is only broadcasting the home games in HD, not the road games, so don't test it out when we play away from the RG.

For the most part, I'm digging Verizon, but that's one thing I miss about Comcast. There isn't much I miss about Comcast, but that's one.

I will try that next time... I'm going out tonight, and recording the SD version to ensure I get it, but next time.

Thanks

That was true last year. However, this year the on-screen guide does list them on Mojo, must to my enjoyment. May be different in other areas of course.

I just heard I won the lottery! Yay! I'm going to buy me a car, a house, and move to Maui!!

Ooooh wait, I just read it on olive. Damnit.

Thank you but that's not a Seattle guide. I just checked and channel 788 does not exist and I do not believe that MOJO is available any longer here.

Oh yeah, you're in Seattle! :devilwink:

I don't believe it.

But, I remember someone saying a deal would be done in Nov and when I seen the comcast commercial that came out I thought depending how many people called the number or went to the web site and ask Directv/Dish to carry the channel might in some way determine the final numbers when finally a deal came through. Just wistful thinking probably.

I wonder if a deal is made if it'll be in regular programming or in the sports package?

Tomorrow though will come and go and no deal.

I think if a deal is ever done at least for Directv and probably Dish it will have to be in the sports package. If you lived in Oregon or SW Washington I think it will replace FSN as the one sportsnet you can receive without subscribing to the Sports package.
