Looking at the stats, it's really obvious how much Roy meant to our team back then. He WAS our offense. Without him, we were pretty much screwed. Look at the win shares. It's crazy how Roy pretty much carried that team.

While their overall numbers are really comparable, Dame does it within the flow of a pretty damn good offense. Roy in the Nate McMillan offense was.... well..... the entire offense.

One is a great teammate, leader and clutch performer. The other is Brandon Roy

To make a really accurate comparison, Nate McMillan would have to coach Dame and Stotts coach Roy..then we'd see how they match up. Roy demanded the ball and dominated the ball under Nate. Lillard is more of a team player. Both great players. I like Lillard and Stotts. Personal opinion.

Not just swap the coaches, but swap the teams as well. This team is much more talented than the teams that Roy played on.

Nate would start Blake over Lillard.

I think they are very similar in many ways. You could say Dame is Brandon Roy as a PG. They both would take over games going on on one. When Dame is "on" he's just gets into the zone and launches up shots. But Roy was said to complain about not getting enough shots, which is something I don't believe Damian would do.

I like Dame better. He got us out of the fucking first round. I'll always have fond memories of Game 4 vs Dallas in 2011 though. Best game I've been to live. And courtside no less with magnifier only a couple rows behind me.
