So for the past week I have been getting this "roxwatchtray9.exe - system error" everytime i turn on my comp. it says "the program can't start becauase MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".

i went to see what this even was, and it was for roxio easy media creator. i figured i didnt even use that so i just uninstalled and got it out of my system. but i am still now getting the error everytime i turn on the comp? any ideas?

see if you can download the file "MSVCR71.dll" be careful though, might be a trojan....but you can probably find it somewhere.

Never heard of Roxio so it could be malicious. Run a virus scan, and search your HDD for any of those keywords and delete the files. If that doesn't work, you'll have to remove it from your directory.

Google the file name and see what you find.

It came with Windows 7, so I'd imagine its fine. I'll try what Buzz posted up

How are you liking Windows 7?

I didn't use my computer enough to really bash Vista. Like I got on and played on hte internet and had Itunes and all that, but I really like 7. But all the stuff I like about it is mainly just little things, things that you don't need, just that are nice to have. I will say it is less cluttered and their is much less click. The new toolbar at the bottom is really nice once you get used to it, having a changing background on yoru desktop is nice, but just little things that never really bothered me on Vista, it's just nice to have.

Although I will say it is noticeably faster, especially during turn ons and shut offs. It's no MAC, but it still boots much faster then Vista.

Yeah, I love it. Try pressing the Windows Key + Tab. Awesome way to switch between windows! :)

That is what the was! I kept forgetting. Also, if you grab a window to drag it around, shake it and it will minimize all the other windows behind it.

I know about the shake one. If you hold the Windows key and then hit the arrow keys you'll resize your document.

Interesting. And you have that one where you drag the window to the far right or left and it will resize it. If you drag it to the top it will maximize it full screen.

the windows key thing + M and Tab work on vista too. Or was that the OS you were talking about?

I never used Vista, so I wasn't familiar with any of the Aero commands.

Yea, definitly a virus, You will need to change registry settings but that might be blocked like it was for me. I couldnt figure it out after looking into it for like 2 weeks, so i just re-installed windows 7 :(

Actually what Buzz sent me worked perfect and I have no problems at all.

oooo...thanks for God Mode BeerBoy...Just installed Win 7 a few days ago....loving it

How do you make it go slower? It goes so fast I cant stop at the window I want.
If you hold the Windows key and then press the tab button once, you can scroll through each window (make sure you keep your thumb the Windows key). Just keep clicking the Tab key to rotate between the different windows.
