...they are on one helluva roll right now...fun to watch.

...yeah, I was really surprised...crazy game that we follow.

Of course winning the 8 straight post season games was tremendous, but look at those various stats- they averaged a little more than five runs per game, averaged one HR per game, stole 13 bases, 5 SAC bunts, 7 sac flies.
Outstanding all around/diverse offensive attack. Very impressive.

Their bullpen was terrific, as it was during the reg season.

If they get "good" starting pitching and are able to continue to manufacture a few runs...they'll WIN the WS..
....I think. lol

^^^I think the worst scenario for the Royals is for the NLCS to go 7 games. If they were starting the WS tomorrow, I'd have to pick the Royals because they're so damned hot right now...but if they have to sit and wait a week to play again they might lose the momentum they've gained so far.

Since starting their 3-1 come back in 1985 they're 11-0 in the playoffs. That's one shy of the mlb record. Some story indeed and something nobody expected. As Sterling says. You can't figure out baseball Susan.

I don't think anything phases these kids. Long layoffs always were a concern for the Yanks, but I don't get that vibe from this Royals team.

And the Giants are up 6-4 in the bottom of the 7th.

I wouldn't want to see KC lose any momentum, tho' it appears they are unstoppable, yet to lose a post season game, holy flying Fritos Batman...

Tho' those Tigers cooled down in 2006, versus the Cardinals. Wasn't that an 8 day wait by Detroit for the Cards to finish off the Mets in the NLCS.

I clearly remember Granderson on Sports Center, stating that 8 day cool off was just that...;

Hope KC can continue on their run, and whoops, Sweep the Giants...! (whoops Rick)

I'd give Bumgarner his 2 games, if or when the Giants show up at the W.S. I'd say KC in 6 to be safe, but could see a KC Championship in 5 games...

On the other hand, perhaps the Giants will be exhausted, tho' I doubt as much...I'm surprised at the Red Birds anemic bats as of late...!

I certainly wouldn't bet against them in the series. That being said their opponent which is looking like the Giants is very adapt at playing close down to the wire games.

Either way it should be a great series if my Giants can hold on to this 3-1 lead.

Good info - would be a real feather in the Franchise's cap if they get the 12th straight postseason win....and more.
Not too shabby.
Yanks own the record - 12, two occasions.

'85 series- that would be the Jorge Orta/Don Denkinger WS.

At this point, I'd be stunned if St. Louis can mount a meek comeback at all....

Giants and Royals looks like a good matchup....! Perhaps Frisco can win a game or 2 from KC.....?

Sometimes we take it for granted -
Just about ALL the teams which reach the WS are good (at this point) at winning close games.
Similiar to playoff hockey (Finals) in that regard.

The exceptions being if you have some kind of machine-like, powerhouse team. (baseball)

Hockey..........what's that?

Hockey..........what's that?

I think that's where you kick the ball into a net, or throw one from a free throw line; could be where you shoot a white ball on a pool table, no wait that's water polo....?

:tiphat: to the Royals....!

Anyone catch Bonds throwing out the first ball last night? He was on crutches due to hip surgery & he looked about 50 lbs lighter.

Glad to see the Royals in the WS. Still waiting for the Cubs!
.....OMG, did I just say that? LOL

Some idiot at espn thinks Giants vs Royals WS will be the
worst one ever.
(I am amazed how irresponsible espn is with the idiots they hire)

These two teams are so evenly matched that it will be a helluva series.

Everything looks a lot smaller. Well..........................................ever ything I could see.

You two are a bit too obsessed with shrinkage, lol!
