The winners tonight were the American People who don't have a bureaucrat standing between them and their doctor deciding what kind of healthcare we can receive.

Wow. Republican talking points word for word.

Needless to say, you're wrong- and know it. Honestly, for a reasonably intelligent person, you sure do post things you know to be untrue.

Health carriers take a large percentage of new insureds with pre existing conditions, My daughter got good health care with an illness that costs the new carrier $2,000,000 in 2 years.

they knew it would cost them 2 million and insured her anyways? unbelievable, unless of course the government is helping them pay for it.

Does that mean it's wrong? Do you believe there should be a board of "experts" that decide what courses of treatment you can receive?

They already exist, it's called your Insurance Company.

Unless you are rich, in which case the rules are different. As is with most other things in life.

If your insurance company denies you coverage, you can do several things:

1. Have your doctor appeal.

2. Seek a second opinion.

3. Pay for it yourself.

4. Find another insurance company.

What do you do when there's only a single-payer and a board of "health care specialists" (not necessarily physicians) decide the best course of treatment? At that point, you don't even have the option of paying for it yourself.

And giving me the "I'm broke" line is bullshit. Hospitals and health care providers work out payment programs all the time with patients who receive care they can't pay for immediately. Most of the time they receive a discount or get their care for free. Health care isn't free. Having the government involved would just make it more expensive, less responsive and less effective.
