Consolidation threads

I don't like them. If there is a big rumor or actual news, post that shit. Draft threads, free agent threads, and other consolidation threads are more for posting opinions and thoughts on the overall subject. This is the same reason why I'm not a fan of the recruiting thread on the Ducks forum. They're HUGE threads and it's hard to keep up with what's going on.

In short, if there's something big like a rumor or a trade, POST THAT SHIT.

True, but if there was a rumor about the Blazers trading a pick to another team, I want that on the front page so it's the first thing I see. I don't want to click on the draft thread and maybe see it or maybe not. Opinions on players or updated mocks are totally acceptable for that kind of thread, but if something significant happens, I want to see it and talk about it in its own thread.

I agree with this post. This forum used to be the quickest way to check for Blazers news if I only had a few minutes. Now I use twitter, because it takes to long to check the draft thread, the trade thread and the free agent thread. I get that the big threads are here to keep things organized, but, ironically, they are the hardest to follow because they hit on so many topics simultaneously.

At this point, the draft thread is 2000 pages of the same five opinions, over and over again, and a bunch of duplicative twitters.

IF there is any new news that's actually news, and not some hack's opinion or some crap 'leaked' by an agent to drive up his client's value, it deserves it's own thread.

Like Batum getting his QO, for example, or if Crawchuck opts in.

The deciding factor in whether a thread sould be separated or merged--is it sameness or agreement? Those are 2 different things. And does this new debate deserve its own thread?
