OT Cool things that happened in your life recently, big or small.

I made it into the 60's and survived the 60's. Married 42 years and have known Jan for 49 years. I survived a stroke and my savior is my wife. We both had surgeries with no cancer positive biopsies. My son now lives with us and that is cool cause he was married to a narcistic bi polar bitch.

On the lighter side: I found a great chicken salad sandwich at this new deli, got a great boss in my ever expanding part time job, which I carry on as a building, housing and fire inspector.
Of course, I am exuberant about the Blazers, Yankees and Ravens.

Man. You had me as a fan until you mention the yankmees...

My dudes, here was my comedy set. No one seemed to comment on it in random thread, and I assume that’s because no one saw it.

That was really your first time? Impressive! I laughed several times. Wife yelled at me asking me what I was doing (shes still in bed, lol).

Really like the pause and persona you had when you took a drink of water, coming back to the mic as if to say something but didn't. Not sure if planned, but that was really good. felt natural and really helped to bring an improv feel tro the who show, vs some scripted, mirror recital.

Also. Your closer is classic. Had me crackin up about spoilers(without spoiling). ;)

Keep doing it, you are good.

Just married and began graduate school i figured you for late 20’s. Then the wife is discovering 20 year old goals. :)
Always stay young!!!

I want a lemon tree.

Are you im the portland area? Im in canby, another small town and love it. I didn't think lemons grow all that well around here though?

Ill be getting an apple and pear tree. Some blueberry bushes, etc.

Almost finished painting our house I've been remodeling over the last year.

Goal for the next year is to build a nice japanese garden complete with a small creek flowing to a pond with a couple pathway bridges over it.

Gonna put that outside of the studio in this section of property...

Looks like you've got room for a basketball court.

I do and Ive seriously thought about it. But then there is also the chance of people hopping the fence to try to use it, as its a large property. Plus there is a school with hoops half a mile down my road.

I think I'm going to talk to the church next door and see if they would be willing to partner up on putting a basketball court next to the playground they have on their property. If they forked up the land, Id pay to have it built. They aren't that expensive.

It was. I took a Stand Up class. It was basically 2 classes and then this show. So I worked on it a lot knowing my friends would all be there. I’m going to try to keep at it

You rock dude! Great set! I'm a huge fan of stand up comedy and you have great timing and good material! Loved the joke about the lady spoiling the Bible for you! Keep it up!

I was going to send you a PM and ask for it. Didn't want to put you on the spot. Will watch now.

Wow, beautiful spot and I love that color. Japanese gardens are so calming and lovely places to spend the quiet times.

I’m not young and quite not old. 45 this month. But I have some substantial goals to accomplish so I need to keep knocking out the smaller and medium sized goals. But interspersed between goals I will make sure there are frequent points of beauty and pleasure to keep my loved ones and myself happily on track for long term success.

Oh: I live in wine country in North Bay CA.

I saw it and liked it. I thought I commented on it but it might have been those two bottles of cheap bourbon that erased my memory that night.

@Orion Bailey - The secret to growing lemons up here is to bring the tree inside before the first frost. The first nip of freezing weather will kill it - I learned the hard way :( So every year in November I bring it in, and every April it gets to go outside.

I just had an amazing happy coincidence.

Wife and I hired a landscape architect through our local nursery to consult with us on a redesign of our garden. Bill comes over, nice guy, my age, etc. We start chatting and he says:

"Where did you grow up?"
"California" I say
"Me too," he says
"What part?"
"Southern California" I say
"Me too" he says.
"Where?"
"Fullerton" I say.
"Me too," he says.

It turns out, he was one of my good friends in second and third grade! "You're Billy [last name]"? "Yes!" he says. Lat time I saw him was 1968.

Amazing coincidence.
