grant is 3x more expensivenot seeing the attraction. Looks like he's about equal to Grant as a three point shooter....maybe slightly better; maybe not. He's certainly not elite
but here's the thing....everybody complains about Grant's lack of rebounding:
TRB Rate: career: Grant 7.7%....Kispert 5.9%
Assist Rate: Grant 9.0%....Kispert 8.1%
more: Wizards were a bad defensive team (27th) and Kispert was 23rd out of 24 players on the team in defensive rating; and 22nd out of 24 in DBPM
grant is 3x more expensive
I think the 20 mil difference a year in the contract makes Kispert the better choice.not seeing the attraction. Looks like he's about equal to Grant as a three point shooter....maybe slightly better; maybe not. He's certainly not elite

Kispert is a 2/3, Grant is a taller, more athletic 3/4. Kispert is more than twice a cheap and fills the need of a backup 3 that shoots well and plays well off others (something Grant struggled mightily with this season). I don't understand the point of comparison.not seeing the attraction. Looks like he's about equal to Grant as a three point shooter....maybe slightly better; maybe not. He's certainly not elite

Yeah, Rupert needs to improve the 3 as he shoots 32%. If you can get a guy like Kispert for cheap at least he does one thing damn well. OKC was bailed out many times this year buy their bench 3 point shooting.Ideally, Rupert and his 7'3" wingspan can get some minutes at SF if he can improve his 3pt shot. He shot better two years ago with more minutes. (36%)
2 way players are not easy to come by. The good ones are expensive. I hope Rupert is ready this year. If so, we do not need Kispert.
Also, hopefully, Thybulle's 3pt shooting last year was not an anomaly. I don't expect him to repeat 44%, but 38% would be helpful.
He and Rupert would be nice coming off our bench....if they can hit their open 3. I think they can.
Mattisse shoots the 3 well off the bench and with Jrue either Deni or Shaedon may be coming off the bench as a 6 man...Shaedon and Scoot and Khris need to improve as 3 pt shooters. Duop is a decent shooter.Currently, we don't have anyone off the bench that shoots the three well consistently. I think MThy was our best three point shooter off the bench. Again, our offense was not good last year so I hope we get at least one gun slinger off the bench, its needed.

Yeah, Mattise really did well off the bench, Rupert, Khris were not good with the three at all.Mattisse shoots the 3 well off the bench and with Jrue either Deni or Shaedon may be coming off the bench as a 6 man...Shaedon and Scoot and Khris need to improve as 3 pt shooters. as far as size: Kispert was measured as 6' 6"; Grant was 6' 6.5". Kispert was weighed as 224; Grant was weighed as 214. Essentially they are the same size

I dunno if the Blazers should be interested but I certainly don't find him interesting. He would need to be a serious knockdown shooter to overcome his other deficiencies, and he's good but not elite. If we're going to get somebody with defensive inadequacies just to improve the shooting of our squad, let's revisit the Sasha Vezenkov suggestion. He rebounds, too!
Let compare their salaries now…
That is only relevant if the Blazers think they can move Grant. If they can, then sure, he would be a relatively cheap replacement. But if they can't, then Kispert adds another 13 million per year for 3 years. (behind Deni, Camara, and Grant)
