Was reading thru the thread earlier cuz i got bored just to see how people's mindsets changed. Sheesh, these are some horrible takes from just one month ago.

As I mentioned earlier, I have been volunteering a few days per week at our local testing facility where we too have only a select population that we are testing. I've had a few roles in both assembling kits, registration and a makeshift call center. It is fucking heart breaking telling someone on the phone who is so clearly sick that they don't even qualify for a damn test because we don't have enough. Some people have stayed on hold for over an hour to be told they don't qualify. Some of the calls I took this week especially have been just brutal.

I've stopped watching Trump's daily propaganda sessions, but to hear that the press has stopped to even ASK about tests is a sad state of affairs.



Until we have tested a wide array of the population to gauge the true spread of this virus, we will not come back to normalcy anytime soon.

Hilarious how he thinks all cops are bad. I know many auto body workers that are horrible, but I also know many that are excellent and everything inbetween. Lumping groups of people as one is probably the most racist and/or prejudicial way of thinking. It really doesn't surprise me the source though.

Craziness, but at least they can be the guinea pig so we can see the results first before this idiot we have in charge makes an ill advised decision.

He runs public policy like it's one of his failed businesses. Everything is a negotiation, everything is about coming out on top.

Being a leader of a country is not the same as being the CEO of a company. How has he convinced people that this is how to be president? The same thing about his comments on the postal service -- not everything is meant to be profitable. It's about balance and nuance to do good for the public, not his cronies among the lobbyists. If we ever elect another businessman as a president, I will absolutely go apeshit.

I would not oppose a businessman who also had significant public sector experience. However, even in that case he should be a successful and lawful businessman, not a failure and a bullshit artist.

Right now I'm politely asking people to stop. Just like I asked you just a few days ago to stop arguing in threads. I can easily go from politely asking to just making many of you stop arguing and derailing threads. I would rather not do that because I get tired of hearing how bad the mods are, how unfair, yadda yadda yadda, when all you're being asked to do is to just stop picking, fighting, and derailing good discussions and debates.

Looks as if not everybody listened, evidently. And if it had been me who had insisted on egging things on after you said to knock it off, there would very likely have been some kind of action taken.

....and the people who constantly complain about the moderation here are often the very same ones who need to be throttled.
