Back in the 60’s if the Government or Reagan told people to stay home and were shutting things down because of a pandemic there would have a rovolt by young people big time.
I think we’ve done well following government recommendations during this time.

I had two uncles die of lung cancer mid 60's...
I was on Telegraph avenue in summer 68 when riots started over war protest and loitering...I was visiting a relative that lived in Berkley, the movement back then was anti government and young people had to decide where they lined up on a bunch of issues. I was lucky as I had baseball keeping me in check till about 20 years old. Times have indeed changed.

91,000 dead Americans and counting? Hard to wrap your head around that. No way to put pictures of 91,000 people on cover of Newsweek. It becomes a number.

Something repressive governments have known probably since Rome. Seven dead people is a tragedy, seven million a statistic. We can cry over The Diary of Anne Frank or Ramona; hard to cry over six million dead Jews or countless millions of indigenous people killed by European guns and diseases. When the military dictatorship in El Salvador murdered Archbishop Romero he became a martyr. When the military dictatorship in Chile murdered thousands in the national stadium, they were numbers. Like Armenians. Cambodians. Rwandans.

Like 91,000 dead Americans and counting. Especially if you can otherise them. Not regular people, like Wisconsin supreme Court Justice said. Or Alex Azar saying their unhealthy lifestyles were what killed them. Head of CDC was chosen despite no public health or administrative experience partly for his opposition to birth control and legal abortion but also for his stated view that people with AIDS brought it on themselves. Implicit, sometimes openly stated, in "protests", people with Corona virus are not real Americans. You know, white.

So make up fake Obama scandal, charge Biden with zero evidence of being a pedophile, attack Fauci, investigate Russia investigation. Don't think about 91,000 dead Americans and counting. Just a number.

Who is this aimed at? Because I’m pretty sure politicians on BOTH sides are using this virus as their new toy to play with.

Also, would love to see the clip of protesters claiming non-whites with coronavirus are not real Americans. Would you mind providing a link to that gem?

In a farewell letter to colleagues distributed Friday, Rebekah Jones questioned the health department’s commitment to “accessibility and transparency.” Jones, the former geographic information system manager for DOH’s Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, said she has not had authority over the dashboard she helped create since May 5, according to the Miami Herald.

First of all, who cares? They're roughly 60% accurate and the treatment for the virus is identical to the treatment for pretty much any other viral lung infection. Testing is a political control tool and a deliberate diversion, and you are better off avoiding it.

That said, St Charles Hospital and Summit Medical Center here in Beautiful Central Oregon have more tests than they can ever use.

This was pretty much the sentiment of African Tribesmen when the AIDS epidemic broke out.....they thought sleeping with virgins was the cure for AIDS and testing was for pussys...that sure didn't turn out well
