Why are CEOs of all these companies here? Where are the experts? The public health professionals, the doctors?

^^^ Pence just fellated Trump by saying "Mr President, from early on, you provided decisive action...."

...I shit you not.

Not sure if it's these CEO's to get the job done, but we need private citizens/companies to step up to get the job done because we have seen the slow response of the government. While it looks silly having them for this press conference, I like the idea of getting the private sector involved. It shouldn't have to be that way, but we have seen the results to date.

they are all shaking hands.

Wow.

First, I know you're not directing that rant at me, mainly because i know I for one, never said anything like that.

But I do find it odd that you have an issue with someone saying something which is not against the law, yet you don't have an issue with punching someone in the face, which is against the law.

Morally wrong?...maybe,...but legally wrong?...no.

not at all.

wanting to punch someone in the face for wishing a deadly virus on innocent people?

Shit. Ill take aNy criticism of my statement and stay standing firm.

Someone can wish a virus on someone but im in the wrong for wanting to punch those people in the face?

This is how fucked our society has become.

This lady keeps repeating this bullshit 1% positive cases labcorp number.

They have tested about 13000 people in the country.

nearly 2000 have tested positive.

Do some basic math before lying, you dumb b

I understand what the illustration shows. It just seems like overkill to make something appear as a graph with no actual data. It just explains a very basic idea, which you explained in words above. Not really knocking it, I’ve just never seen an extremely basic idea put forth in a graph that is probably more confusing than the idea itself. Like I said though, if it gets a few more people to follow protocols then good.

Some people can't process information unless it is presented visually.

In related news, some people paint their face orange.

Did Trump keep his lips from moving when the VP doll “said” that?

This POS has also denied any responsibility in the delay of testing...what a pathetic inane scripted dog and pony show.

If anyone believe todays news conference was about COVID, they are sorely mistaken...it was ALL about Trump.

It totall is.

No, it's not.

Myth: The virus is just a mutated form of the common cold
No, it's not. Coronavirus is a large family of viruses that includes many different diseases. SARS-CoV-2 does share similarities with other coronaviruses, four of which can cause the common cold. All five viruses have spiky projections on their surfaces and utilize so-called spike proteins to infect host cells. However, the four cold coronaviruses — named 229E, NL63, OC43 and HKU1 — all utilize humans as their primary hosts. SARS-CoV-2 shares about 90% of its genetic material with coronaviruses that infect bats, which suggests that the virus originated in bats and later hopped to humans.

Evidence suggests that the virus passed through an intermediate animal before infecting humans. Similarly, the SARS virus jumped from bats to civets (small, nocturnal mammals) on its way into people, whereas MERS infected camels before spreading to humans.

Myth: The virus was probably made in a lab
No evidence suggests that the virus is man-made. SARS-CoV-2 closely resembles two other coronaviruses that have triggered outbreaks in recent decades, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, and all three viruses seem to have originated in bats. In short, the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 fall in line with what we know about other naturally occurring coronaviruses that made the jump from animals to people.

It's weird how people will argue against science for some sort of weird agenda.

Global Warming: MAN CAN'T DO IT, IT'S NATURE!

Coronavirus: NATURE CAN'T DO IT, IT'S MAN!

and the Arab spring was because of a Youtube Video. :Sly:

I'm not sure if this virus was released to stop the Hong Kong protests or if it was done by accident. This thing about bat soup is bullshit.

Well, when you decide which conspiracy theory you like best, you be sure to let us know.

Insults and threats will get you removed from this thread.

And yes, that is a threat.

Me? If so, not sure how saying "someone deserves to get punched" is a threat or the same as saying "if you say that I will punch you..."

It was a preemptive warning caused by your post. While you didn't directly threaten anyone there was the possibility it could have escalated by others in response to your post.
