There is absolutely scientific proof masking works. It's not even new. Surgical teams wear masks. Electronic workers wear masks.

The majority does want to get vaccinated. However nearly half of Republicans say they never will even though their god emperor got vaccinated behind closed doors.

Not sure what "lady" is "full of shit". Probably someone with actual expertise that didn't come from Facebook and Fox.

If masks are so good why didn't Jesus wear one?

You are asking a Jew to explain Jesus?

Meanwhile, a Florida private school whose directors were Trump donors has banned vaccinated teachers from the classroom. Yes, you read that right.

Self proclaimed scientist Tucker Carlson has told his viewers to approach strangers wearing masks and ask them to remove their masks because it is offensive. Cancel culture! He also advised calling police and children's services if you see a child wearing a mask.

Dr. Fauci is not perfect but he knows a fuck of a lot more about infectious diseases than right wing talk show hosts or former reality TV hosts.

Oregon shutting down again :sigh:
:twothumbs: Good luck with that ya'll.

Where I live, there have been very few (if any) mandates other than wearing a mask when we go out.
Last time I looked state by state, there wasn't any statistical evidence that the shutdowns had any benefit.

Where is that? Florida?

Facts don't care about your feelings. They don't want the facts.

So the majority of people don’t want the vaccine, yet the cases are going down anyway. Her explanation is that it’s because people are “wearing masks and social distancing” which is clearly not the case. You can look around and plainly see WAY less people are wearing masks and social distancing than they have been in the last year. Many states have opened up fully, and many others at least partially. This lady is full of shit. Her narrative is tanking. There is still no scientific proof masking works, and the opinions are now even changing on how spread occurs.
1. I see most people wearing masks in my neck of the woods so I had no idea that people were wearing masks less and less;
2. Statistically masks work. Look at the people and organizations that know best such as hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices, all of which I've seen requiring the wearing of masks;
3. States that have fully opened up have the most trouble with Covid-19. Just compare Oregon with Idaho. You live in a sparsely populated state which means more social distancing and more outdoor activity.
Listen to the CDC that's their business so they're well stocked with PhDs who's only business is disease.

Two weeks post vaccination so officially have immunity. Shipped at Piedmont Yarn and went to the zoo. Weird priorities, I know. Big cats as uncooperative as so called domestic cats at posing for photos. Friendly meerkat (actually a mongoose and not a cat) posed. Elephant did what every living organism must do, eliminate waste.

Sounds like a perfect day in The City.

A couple hours late, but I will feel it.

I'm fascinated by the big cats, the big crocs, the poisonous snakes and the big snakes, the monkeys (love their music), the great apes, the rhinos, the penguins all lined up and going down the down the slide into the water, the polar bear, any large bear, all the hippos and the elephants.
Oh yes, and the beavers.
I also am weirdly fascinated by the centipedes and tarantulas.

Due to pandemic indoor displays are still closed, including house of amphibians and reptiles, insects and spiders, and bats. But croc was there.
