Not because they think it's the right thing to do, it's if someone does get sick inside one of their restaurants they will face increased liability for not taking steps that others did to keep the public safe.

Some Trumpers said the virus itself was a hoax. Trump repeatedly said it was like a cold, you can go to work.

Former Miss Nevada boasted of going to crowded restaurant in Trump hat. Republican congressman said this is a good time to go out because you will get good service in restaurants. White privilege doesn't confer viral immunity no matter how much they pretend.

BTW stupid auto correct put apostrophe in governors. I just fixed. I know where apostrophes belong and where they don't.
 
Trump was up early this morning, tweeting about ... Hillary's emails.

I didn’t make any claims that need to be explained away. I never said anything was right or wrong. Why don’t you explain to us all what a genocide is? Ask a few Armenians or Rwandans about the current genocide in the United States, see if they laugh and how hard.

Better or worse, it’s not what people on here are claiming. If it was just as bad there would be no need to take the sensational route.

Ouch.
I've got 0.9 oz. that my mother left me when she died. That was at about $900 back then. I guess I could sell it but it is such a tiny amount that I think it has more sentimental value right now.
However I still have about a quarter Million in stocks which I'm thinking I should withdraw and invest in bonds or gold. Everything else is out of the stock market already so that was a lucky move. I guessed that the market was going to tank because of Trump but I did not count on a virus as being the vehicle of the downturn. Luck? Yeah, I guess so.

The story makes zero sense. Even if it’s true that they hope to have a vaccine ready by summer, it would still have to do all the testing required by the FDA before it could be used in the US. There are many companies in the US and around the world that have vaccines in development that are at about the same stage. One is beginning tests right now in Seattle. Not saying that it even beyond Trump to try to pull something like this off, just that it doesn’t seem to me like it adds up.

One woman in South Korea, the 31st known case there, is suspected of having been the source of 80% of the covid-19 cases in the country. Don’t be Patient 31.

This person, also a woman, was in a minor car accident in Daegu, a city of more than 2 million people, and went to a hospital. She was not tested for coronavirus, and over the next couple of days she twice attended services at the Shincheonji Church in the city, Reuters reported on March 3. Soon thereafter she began to develop a fever but continued her regular routine, including having lunch at a hotel buffet.

Two days after the lunch, on Feb. 17, she was tested and learned she had Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus. It is not known how she contracted the virus.

In the days that followed, hundreds of the church’s parishioners would be diagnosed with Covid-19. Another dramatic spike in cases came from a county just outside Daegu, and health officials believe it’s connected to a funeral service attended by members of the Shincheonji Church.

These two clusters, Reuters reported, “account for around 80 percent of the cases in the entire country.”

South Korea has had just over 8,000 coronavirus cases and 75 deaths, as of Monday morning.
