To clarify, Tennessee ban on providing youth vaccine information applies to ALL vaccine information. Parents with newborns will no longer receive from state information on infant vaccines. Parents of school age children will no longer receive state information on back to school vaccines. Public schools are no longer permitted to hold flu vaccine clinics, or to provide information on adolescent vaccine.

But they are owning the libs!

As self-appointed head of the Imaginary Internet Medical Board of Examiners, I'm afraid I'm going to have to suspend your Imaginary Internet Medical License.

I know this comes as a painful blow to you, but I have to act. Your misguided medical advice could endanger your imaginary Internet patients.

A few things to note:
  • Currently, people under 12 aren't getting the shot
  • The disease is highly contagious
  • Not everyone knows if their kid has an underlying condition that might make them more susceptible to covid death
  • Dying isn't the only possible negative effect of being infected with covid
  • If not enough people are vaccinated, the virus will continue to spread in the rest of the population
  • Some people can't be vaccinated, including newborns
  • Continued spread of the virus enables further mutations
  • New mutations may have effects on children different than the current strains
  • The risks of vaccination are significantly less (both severity and occurrence) than the risks of covid

Depends on what the sources are. Post a peer reviewed article and I will read it.

Florida Governor DeathSantis has prohibited cruise lines that sail from Florida ports from requiring passengers be vaccinated because Jesus. Or Trump. Or freedumb. So Norwegian Cruise Lines tests all its passengers. Cruise Karen threw hissy fit after being removed due to positive Covid test, screaming test was rigged.
 

Does that mean the other countries where covid cases are dwindling have reached “herd immunity” even if their vax numbers are low? Even if vaccinated people have higher infection numbers? Not sure what this means besides the vaccine being basically ineffective against the billion different variants that come out. On a side note, any virologist will tell you that no variant is as aggressive as the original strain, despite how transmissible it is.

Wrong in two counts.

Vaccinated people do not have higher Covid rates, in fact, close to 100 percent of new cases are unvaccinated people.

I did graduate work in microbiology and virology. Please cite these every virologists who state new variants are less aggressive. And how do you define aggressive and transmissible?

All the articles I've read 56% of the population being vaccinated is not herd immunity.

This guy was the only member of his family to refuse the vaccination and he is going through a horrible ordeal clinging to life...you can read the whole article on Yahoo.....I just cut and pasted the first paragraph....if you want to really do research that matters talk to your local first responders and let them clue you in....

Hmm. Well, I don't have to work to find something I agree with. I'm simply telling you what the scientific/medical consensus is.

Your job is a lot harder, because you need to find something to support your thesis. Thus your evidence is an opinion piece written by a smart guy, a doctor, but not a specialist in this area. And even then, I don't think he'd support your viewpoint entirely.

So, confirmation bias is at play here, absolutely I agree.

I'm inclined to believe the experts in the field, who actually read the relevant research (and understand it in detail and in context), unless you give me some reason not to. You haven't done so, as of yet.

It's easy to say the experts are wrong or they are all in cahoots somehow. It's a lot harder to make a sensible argument for why that should be so.

Rounding off, yes. The actual percentage is over 99.5%.
He's speaking of scientists who actually are high school science teachers in their day jobs and scientists at night. Wait, public school high school science teachers? No, home schooling science teachers who are self proclaimed scientists. Look they have credentials. They all graduated for the Trump University department of virology who got the very latest high tech. training via cartoons.

The vaccine works around 95% of the time. More than enough to keep the virus from spreading, if enough people get the vaccine. But not enough to be completely safe if there are still lots of people spewing the virus into the air.
