I've already posted this in this thread but here is what my doctor told me about antibodies when I had my physical just a couple of weeks ago...

Antibodies: He said it's normal for the human body to stop producing antibodies after getting a vaccine. If you were to test your blood right now you would not see antibodies for all of the vaccines you have had throughout your life. But that does not mean you are not protected from the vaccine. The body produces antibodies when needed. It doesn't produce them all of the time for the hell of it. If you get a virus the body responds to it by producing the antibodies needed to fight it. Vaccines teach your body which antibodies to produce. With the Delta variant, the virus is not an exact match to the vaccine so there is a delay in the response but for healthy people, the response is still enough to prevent hospitalization and/or death. ​

I thought she had claimed they (the Florida gov et al) were misrepresenting numbers to the CDC or such, and then went out on her own with this new website, supposedly new numbers, or such(?)

She claimed she was being pressured. She no longer has access to the information she had access to when employed by the state. Hence the firing.

I have no doubt the Governor has somebody else in place who won't cause such problems.
 
Anyone get their annual flu shot yet? I got a notice from Rite Aid they are available.

That seems odd to me, if he is vaccinated and in good health why is he getting Regeneron?

My wife just got hers today, the 65 older high power one. Her doc told her it doesnt matter anymore when to get as they last and news ones every year.
I waited last year and had to get the normal one as everyones was out of the 65 older one.

Oregon reports a record 2,941 COVID-19 cases, 838 hospitalized The Oregon Health Authority reported a record 2,941 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. There were a record 838 COVID-19 patients in Oregon hospitals Tuesday, 86 more than on Monday. Of those, 222 were in intensive care, and 127 were on ventilators.

During the winter surge, daily cases peaked at 1,712, hospitalizations at 622, and patients in intensive care at 143. The state reported 15 new deaths. Oregon’s cumulative case count for the pandemic is now 245,758, and the death toll is 2,964.
