Probably. I would guess everyone has lied about something at some time in their lives. That is not what is being discussed. Is he lying when he provides what, based on decades of experience, he considers best information on pandemic? No evidence. Mistakes, quite possible, especially early when we didn't know a lot about this virus. Not deliberate lies. That's the antivaxxers and conspiracy mongers.

My doc friends are saying that they are seeing a lot of rapid test negatives that show up positive on a PCR.

Don't rely on these rapid tests. I'm getting quite a few negative rapid tests but PCR comes back positive for COVID. That's how this thing is spreading like wildfire. Giving people false sense of security with these rapid tests.

The idea with the rapid test is you can be an asymptotic Covid person but the rapid test can say if you are bad enough to spread... but yeah shouldn't be used to actually diagnose Covid

Happening with my mom currently. Tested negative 5 times with the at home rapid tests, but positive at the hospital PCR test.

Wouldn't be surprised. The virus is mutating because we allowed it to stick around long enough, as they do, rendering the vaccination less effective against infection.

I don't pretend to be a doctor, but I assume this is something similar to how flu virus evolved? It was once more deadly than it is now. I assume covid is here to stay.
