“If you threw Coca-Cola into cell culture, you would see an antiviral effect. But you wouldn’t want to be squirting Coca-Cola up your nose against the flu and RSV,”
Did Covid-19 originate in a Chinese lab?
Most likely scenario.Did Covid-19 originate in a Chinese lab?
Wth u talking about? Donny called it the "China virus" and that's good enough for me.Not enough information yet.

Makes the most sense.Taiwanese early on in the pandemic said their research found that it started in the wet market and wasn't a lab leak. They avoided massive covid infections all through the pandemic. They claim it was the Pandolin which is a covid host. They also have no reason to cover up China's blunders.
I think that's purely western propoganda. Taiwan has a top shelf research dept and also traced the SARS epidemic down to the source in 2003...I'll take their scientific results over our "china flu" Trump era guess work. Global pandemics shouldn't be politically weaponized but that's what Trump did concerning China and went as far as denying the thing altogether for far too long...also it entered our country mostly from Europe at that point which was not quarantined from traveling here until it was too late..Taiwan closed it's borders on day one and avoided the shitstorm we went through as did New Zealand and Denmark.I think it's most likely a leak from the Wuhan lab. I doubt it was intentional, but I believe a Wuhan leak is most likely.

This definitely makes the most sense.Taiwanese early on in the pandemic said their research found that it started in the wet market and wasn't a lab leak. This is a "most likely happened" statement, not a confirmation...as I said...propoganda....I'll take Taiwanese scientists over our Energy Dept speculation at this point but it's a topic that can be used to pressure China...which is what I think our "Intelligence committee." is probably floating around. It's an easy sell in the American media given the sentiments folks have about China. If Taiwan comes to this conclusion, I'll buy it.From the Wall Street Journal...
WASHINGTON—The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.
The shift by the Energy Department, which previously was undecided on how the virus emerged, is noted in an update to a 2021 document by Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’s office.

My thoughts exactly. It makes them seem totally ineffectual. Meanwhile, neo nazis are attacking our grid and Texas has blackouts after a light storm. Get your shit together. How in the hell would our energy department know what happened? Why would they even weigh in on this?

They fired the whole top command of our nuclear team of about 6 people for negligence a couple days ago....I don't think excellence was the reason. They manage our nuclear weapons. I'm sure they keep an eye on China and Russia.
And what does monitoring nuclear weapons have to do with a virus? They manage our nuclear weapons. I'm sure they keep an eye on China and Russia.

How does that make them authorities on biology, virology, or epidemiology? Those are the professions who's opinions I'd be interested in....It’s a reason to collect information on China.
I could see the DOE being tight with the CIA. Part of monitoring other countries' nukes is by spycraft. The CIA could have picked up something and is using the DOE to leak it.How does that make them authorities on biology, virology, or epidemiology? Yep. Agreed.I could see the DOE being tight with the CIA. Part of monitoring other countries' nukes is by spycraft. The CIA could have picked up something and is using the DOE to leak it.
That said, no one in the public or press has read the complete report. All that has been leaked is by the GOP to the WSJ.
IMO this is similar to Barr saying the Mueller report exonerated Trump when we were finally able to see the final report it clearly didn't.
