It finally got me. Tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time this morning. Five years is a good run.

I feel mostly fine, just a runny nose, and a slight headache. Thank science for vaccines.

What made you think to test for it and not just assume you have a cold? The past couple years I’ve gotten sick, I never even consider it to be COVID. Don’t know why.

I always do a RAT when I have cold like symptoms.

I had stomach cramps all day Thursday and Friday, and after eating on Saturday and Sunday, so I knew I had some kind of virus.

I remember reading early on during the pandemic that gastrointestinal symptoms present in a very small number of COVID-19 cases.

My cold like symptoms developed on on Saturday, so I had my suspicions.

I was all ready to go to work on Monday morning, the RAT was literally the last thing I did before heading out the door.

Already watched the Blazers game this morning, just watching the Arsenal v Chelsea match now, probably fire up the PS5 after lunch; this COVID thing sure is tough.

Good luck and speedy recovery DUB! Sorry you got it, I've still dodged that bullet.

Well hope you feel better FAMS! The family and I don’t have a case of COVID on our resume….. but I’m quite sure we HAD to of had it at one point. Haven’t tested since the NBA stopped making it a daily mandatory thing.
Glad there are those out there like yourself who do still test.

People die from the flu still every day? Is it any different?

The short of it is we should be masking for the flu season every year as well. Americans just hate doing good things for their neighbors.

The flu is more deadly, but COVID’s risks aren’t just in death but in long covid symptoms which are yet to be properly studied (and that can affect you even if you’ve been vaccinated, and might become more likely the more you’ve had COVID before).

You still wearing two masks in the car in 2025?
Any self respecting getaway driver only needs one mask! Welcome back young whippersnapper! Just turned 71 and still haven’t had covid! Vaccine hasn’t killed me yet either! Hope your family is doing well out in geyser land! Blazers should be fun this season! I cleaned out an old woodshed today and wish I’d had a mask handy.
