My daughter in San Diego is moving to Austria since the virus caused her dental clinic to close it's doors..her husbands company is moving them there in August ...looks like I'll finally get to visit Europe one day...they'll be in Vienna. She's scared and excited about it....never lived outside California in her life...she's been to Europe with him on business trips but this is a total move for them...have to get a Euro pass one day and see the sites...not for a couple more years but hey..bucketlist item

I was scanning quickly and saw Australia, not Austria, then saw you say get to visit Europe, and I thought my god, this man is dumber than a...scanned back up. Nope, the error was mine!

I won't travel there until the path is clear but my son in law works all over the world...he won't have to fly as much from Vienna as he does from San Diego....the move is to minimize his flights

He sees it as a beautiful thing that people are willing to sacrifice for others, not that its beautiful people are dying.

Stalin said much the same things during WWII about his people who were giving everything to the war; personal valuables, everything. Women and children working 18 hours a day to do their part in their fight for their lives.

He said what amounts to him being in awe and proud of his people for giving everything, including their lives, for their fellow countrymen.

Something like that could be considered a beautiful thing.

I think the reaching to misconstrue Trumps words in this instance is a bit far. He doesn't have the best choice of words, no doubt, but I can tell he doesn't think its beautiful people are dying.

I think there is a bit of common sense that needs to be used here.

Good thing Fauci was wearing a mask today. He could have been chuckling or grimacing as he looked down at his feet a couple times. Nobody would have known.

I do not like Trump. But. It has been years since I could find any real common sense in the left's propaganda machine.

Getting common sense out of the left is like trying to get your drinking water from a sewage treatment plant.

Yes you can swallow some treated sewage water. But only after the mountains of infectious disease filled shit is filtered out. Same goes for the left's propaganda.

To be fair, its often the same in reverse when The White house is Blue.

What I do find interesting is how much Trump gets blasted for calling out fake news by many on the left, but then those same people are okay with misconstrued tweets and memes that bleed fake news all over the web. like this example for instance.

How can one help spread this nonsense and yet try to call out Trump as saying things are fake news all the time. It just doesn't add up to me.

And you know what? None of it will change until the general public stops buying into the media prop and uses more common sense, dismisses hyperbole from opposition AND from their fellow constituents, regardless of party lines. We must condemn our own for the same behavior. It must be a bipartisan effort to get us back into an honest, truthful future.

The fake news era is gonna ruin us all, pitting everyone against everyone over a bunch of false implications and lies.

The cure for fake news syndrome is not to listen to trump anymore. He is the one that has hammered the fake news conspiracy and his trumpers lap it up like no tomorrow. It's an excuse for the trumpers not to believe anything says against trump. Get rid of the illness (trump) and the symptoms immediately improve.

We aren't paid for what we say, so there's really no reason anyone here needs to hew to any sort of standard at all.

The president is in a very different situation. He was elected to do a job, which he is doing badly when he gets on TV and spouts nonsense.

I agree with you that citizens need to stop believing bullshit. But I will defend to the death your right (not his) to promote bullshit. Well, not to the death. Not even to a minor injury, really. Or even discomfort. Or inconvenience. But I will defend it, if it doesn't require anything of me besides typing.

i say who cRes who is getting paid what. Do the right thing to help yourself and your neighbor live happily. And that means being straight with no lies or half truths.
