At first I was gonna reply with a LOL but upon more thought I'm leaning toward concurring. In any event, spreading the disease to anyone endangers my life so I'm for whatever means are necessary although I don't think this is a job for the police.
lol....I was being sarcastic, Ive never been very good at it though. Cops have other priorities for sure. The county will send a letter and if they don't respond they send the dog catcher (whoops tried again) actually someone from the health department.

I love the imagery of people being locked-down at home on the 4th of July, unable to go gather together, no beaches, no restaurants, no fireworks. As this happens, more civil unrest and protests invade the streets as thousands of lawless thugs gather to destroy property and assault citizens while the police have their hands tied by liberal governors.

Yeah!

You paint a grim picture. I wonder if our society will still exist post-7/4.

Some people have been known to go mad without beach or restaurant access.

Oh god. Every LA and OC Beach is shut down except Huntington. This is gonna end in bloodshed, along with a spike in cases.

Newsom will shut them down and the white trash from the inland empire will come out in droves to derp derp America while BLM comes down and does a counter protest while also burning down LA.

This will end in gunfire and violence.
Fireworks aren't always in the sky.

How could you really paint a good one right now...?
Protests / Riots, COVID19, an election that will end in a lot of bloodshed no matter who wins. Its very obvious how much Russia && China are behind the scenes with a lot of whats going on in the US. They have so much to gain by all of this. Were arguing over the use of masks and simple crap, and have sects of our population actively trying to burn it all down to the ground. While these other countries are just laughing their butts off. Unfortunately for us china’s been around for thousands of years and plays the long game and the US isnt built that way.

seems to be mounting evidence and consensus that we are significantly under-counting Covid mortality and impact:

"Between March 1, 2020, and April 25, 2020, a total of 505 059 deaths were reported in the US; 87 001 (95% CI, 86 578-87 423) were excess deaths, of which 56 246 (65%) were attributed to COVID-19. In 14 states, more than 50% of excess deaths were attributed to underlying causes other than COVID-19; these included California (55% of excess deaths) and Texas (64% of excess deaths) (Table). The 5 states with the most COVID-19 deaths experienced large proportional increases in deaths from nonrespiratory underlying causes, including diabetes (96%), heart diseases (89%), Alzheimer disease (64%), and cerebrovascular diseases (35%) (Figure). New York City experienced the largest increases in nonrespiratory deaths, notably from heart disease (398%) and diabetes (356%)."

"These estimates suggest that the number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the first weeks of the pandemic captured only two-thirds of excess deaths in the US. Potential explanations include delayed reporting of COVID-19 deaths and misattribution of COVID-19 deaths to other respiratory illnesses (eg, pneumonia) or to nonrespiratory causes reflecting complications of COVID-19 (eg, coagulopathy, myocarditis). Few excess deaths involved pneumonia or influenza as underlying causes.

Large increases in mortality from heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases were observed. Further investigation is required to determine the extent to which these trends represent nonrespiratory manifestations of COVID-19 or secondary pandemic mortality caused by disruptions in society that diminished or delayed access to health care and the social determinants of health (eg, jobs, income, food security)

"Woolf and his team found that deaths from causes other than COVID-19 rose sharply in the states that had the most COVID-19 deaths in March and April. Those states were Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York -- particularly New York City -- and Pennsylvania. At COVID-19's peak for March and April (the week ending April 11), diabetes deaths in those five states rose 96% above the expected number of deaths when compared to the weekly averages in January and February of 2020. Deaths from heart disease (89%), Alzheimer's disease (64%) and stroke (35%) in those states also spiked.

New York City's death rates alone rose a staggering 398% from heart disease and 356% from diabetes, the study stated

"At the end of May, the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 was already 95,000, but the real number likely should have been over 120,000. Despite continued Republican attempts to underplay the disease, COVID-19 is even worse than the official tally suggests.

As the temporary effect of statewide lockdowns evaporates under a blaze of new cases, some governors are belatedly pumping the brakes on reopening and a number of prominent Republicans have, at last, learned to love their masks. But with Anthony Fauci suggesting that the United States may soon see 100,000 cases in a single day, and Houston-area ICUs overrun, there are still several Republicans who have no interest in joining reality. That includes Trump, who hasn’t even bothered to mention the pandemic amid a flurry of statements on the stock market, the importance of saving Confederate statues, and lies about Black Lives Matter. And it absolutely includes DeSantis, who is demonstrating a disregard for the lives of Florida citizens that is genuinely horrifying

there's an interesting interactive map that gauges current threat levels in every US county:

PandemicPhases.jpg

it takes a little time to load, but after it does you can hover the cursor over each county and see some current information. Oregon's hot spots are 3 counties in NE Oregon.
