'U.S. is going to see darkest days in modern medical history': Doctor's dire warning as 95% of country sees 'uncontrollable COVID-19 spread' and 50 MILLION travel for Thanksgiving - with 17% spike hitting California in just 24hrs
  • The daily death toll across the country spiked to 2,297 yesterday, which is the highest number of deaths per day since May and the second day in a row where fatalities have surpassed 2,000
  • There were 181,490 new cases recorded yesterday alone and the number of infections has consistently been well above 100,000 every day for the last three weeks
  • Hospitalizations have been surging to record highs over the past month with nearly 90,000 patients being treated as of yesterday
  • Doctors in parts of the country have warned that hospitals are already overwhelmed and are nearing capacity in some states
  • Dr Joseph Varon, chief of staff at United Memorial Medical Center in Houston, Texas said the current surges mean 'America is going to see the darkest days in modern American medical history'
  • While the Midwest continues to be the hardest hit, California saw a 17 percent spike in cases in 24 hours and New York recorded it deadliest day since May with 67 fatalities
  • The CDC and state and local authorities spent the past week begging people not to travel and urging them to keep their Thanksgiving celebrations small
  • Yet millions defied the official warnings with nearly six million traveling by plane in the last six days
  • It comes as 95 percent of counties across the country are now seeing an uncontrollable spread of COVID-19 infections, a data map compiled by spatial analytics company Esri shows

Whats the consensus for outdoor dining?

They just banned for a few weeks in LA, despite not having any data to back it up.

Sucks for the people working. Left a good tip for my last sit down meal in LA for a while, local sushi guy I've been going to forever, basically a 2-3 person operation.

My mother worked as a waitress when I was very young and got lousy lousy tips. For this reason my wife and I, who also grew up poor, are heavy tippers. I leave a minimum 20% tip, even if it's a buffet and even if the service is not too good. The last time I left a lousy tip must have been 30 or 40 years ago and I was really pissed. We asked for extra napkins and the waitress told us that she only gives one to a customer. See, I still remember it.

He was removed for being drunk and obnoxious, not being maskless. Both sides rage tweeting out of context.

You got duped with the TrumpTards.

Unfortunately for your attempt to be condescending, nobody said he was thrown out for not wearing a mask. The tweet called him a maskless idiot, both of which descriptors are true, and Fez said the same treatment should be given to "TrumpTards" and "Antimask Karens."

I know your gimmick around here is "angry man conservative" but maybe temper your rage with some reading comprehension.

So much rage...

Good one. Showing off that conservative wit.
I think the interpretation of any dissenting view being ‘rage’ says quite a bit about a lot of people on the left. You may as well just go all in and call me a Nazi.

DON'T DO IT! CALLING SOMEONE A NAZI IS A PERSONAL INSULT. HE'S TRYING TO TRICK ALL OF YOU INTO GETTING BANNED. WHICH MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE ALL HE HAS TO DO IS PAY ME $50 PER PERSON HE WANTS GONE!

It's not "dissenting opinions." I disagree with various people here. It's that you every so often come out of the woodwork to rail against Democrats on this forum, which is why I said you have this gimmick of "angry man." Look at the post of yours I originally responded to--you were completely wrong, as I pointed out, but you were wrong because you wanted to see Democrats "being duped" so you could mock them. That's your entire persona on this forum.

Even this post of yours I'm responding to, you're not making a comment about me, but about "the left." You can only see in terms of how "the left" is awful, every outrage perpetrated by anyone shows how awful "the left" is. You definitely come across as angry--specifically at "the left."
