Tell that to the families of the nearly 600,000 deceased and the people in the overcrowded hospitals on ventilators who can't even have their families visit them. Some will die. You are one of the lucky few.already had it. it didn't do anything more than feeling like I had the flu for maybe 2 days.
no. it wont change my mind at all. nothing will.
I think you missed the caveat--that is if vaccination doesn't prevent spread. I understand that vaccination prevents spread of other virii (measles, smallpox, polio, etc...). The concern I was addressing was the notion that those who are COVID-vaccinated are still just as capable of spreading the virus as those who aren't. If that's the case (and I don't know that it is or isn't), then large-scale vaccination doesn't really protect those who aren't able to be vaccinated. That’s simply not true. Herd immunity to a disease happens when there are enough people who have obtained immunity, either by having the disease or by getting vaccinated, that it can’t spread readily because there aren’t enough potential hosts to keep the spread going. Immunity doesn’t have to be perfect for that to happen. A recent study has shown that the real world efficacy of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines is about 90 percent. That’s far in excess of what would be needed to stop community spread if most people were vaccinated. Beyond the 90 percent overall efficacy, the vaccines have been shown to be virtually 100 percent effective at preventing serious illness. People who don’t get vaccinated are not only putting themselves and their loved ones at greater risk, they are lengthening the duration of the pandemic and all of the death and economic impacts that go along with it.
I've got a permanent free fishing license in the state of Oregon but can't physically fish unless in a chair. Maybe some deep sea fishing for Chinook, king, salmon.Got my second shot last night....just a sore arm and tired but no fever, chills, etc.....now I have a vaccination passport and can apply for another passport and travel if I like. Going to get my fishing license tomorrow and to celebrate 16 months in a bubble here, I'm going to buy a new Gretsch guitar with a bigsby tomorrow as well in Cadillac Green with natural wood sides and back....Duck fans will love this guitar...go Blazers...good news out yesterday is that the covid two shot vaccine is showing great results attacking cancer cells and HIV infections....it may have a better long term effect than just covid....get vaccinated and the sooner folks do the sooner we can achieve herd immunity.....takes 85% to achieve....27% so far are refusing....for those who got covid early.....you didn't get the mutation type which is far more dangerous than the first version...wake up and show social responsibility if not for yourself...for the others around you.

Lanny you need a sit to stand frame for moving between small doors....your wife doesn't need to lift you at all....I did transfers for quadriplegics for years after retiring from the school district....there's no need to lift anyone if you have the tool....also you can operate an electric chair without assistance unless you want to transfer.....get your wife a sit to stand frame and make her life easy....hope you are doing okI've got a permanent free fishing license in the state of Oregon but can't physically fish unless in a chair. A 70-85% reduction in spreading risk would certainly be significant. Thank you. Hopefully more and larger studies will confirm.

Nice! a new Gretsch in Cadillac green!Got my second shot last night....just a sore arm and tired but no fever, chills, etc.....now I have a vaccination passport and can apply for another passport and travel if I like. where are these overcrowded hospitals now? and he is not one of the lucky few, he is one of the 99.5 percent that survive after getting covid.Tell that to the families of the nearly 600,000 deceased and the people in the overcrowded hospitals on ventilators who can't even have their families visit them. while i feel sorry for the losses of the families, how many of the people who died actually ONLY died from Covid? hardly any.Tell that to the families of the nearly 600,000 deceased and the people in the overcrowded hospitals on ventilators who can't even have their families visit them. Some will die. You are one of the lucky few.
that isnt answering the question, though....Their friend is dumb.
the reason you didn't hear about many flu deaths is that people have locked down, not gathered in public and worn masks and washed hands for a year and a half..businesses have shut the doors......that keeps the flu away.
It did in 3 countries that locked down immediately and followed public safety rules....Taiwan capped it after 7 deaths and is much closer to China than we are...New Zealand and Taiwan have remained open within their borders for over a year becuase of people adapting to safety measures....we're a year and a half in and still seeing mutations and cases...Brazil is losing 4000 people a day....why do you think that is? Because they went to the disco? 4000 customers dying per day isn't a great model for business success either....unless you are a morticianbut it didnt keep the covid away? makes so much sense....
but it didnt keep the covid away? makes so much sense....
texas is completely opened up and have a 73% drop in daily cases since they did. Michigan is on a tyrannical lockdown and they are spiking the worst in the country. the governor of michigan is blaming Desantis and the state of Florida because they arent locked down and it was spring break. i wish i was making that up.
also, businesses didnt shut the doors. tyrannical government mandates did. they killed way too many businesses because they had the notion that if you get covid, it's an automatic death sentence, which it is not.
If you can still get covid after getting the shot, how is that protecting others? You are ignoring the facts....it's a global pandemic, not a US govt conspiracy...if you think Texas and Florida are poster states for safety protocols I hope you spend all of your time there....if you think shutting doors killed businesses...that's nothing like wrongful death lawsuits shutting businesses and suing them for putting the public at risk....you got covid ....I didn't. My granddaughters got it by working in restaurants that chose to stay open....those restaurants are closed now but not because the laws made them...because covid infections made them....glad you survived and now hope you don't have long term reactions to getting it in the first place. As I said....if you refuse to get a simple shot to protect others....that's pretty irresponsible in my view. We should have capped this pandemic a year ago by masking and social distancing....countries that did didn't have the spread....we've lost hundreds of thousands of lives unnecessarily and largely due to irresponsible citizens in denial.
If you can still get covid after getting the shot, how is that protecting others?
I'm not ignoring facts at all. If anything, I'm stating facts. It isn't my fault that you are ignoring them and trying to state your own.
That still doesn't protect you or anyone from contracting covid. Just because you get the shot, doesn't mean it is killed. You can still get it and you can still spread it.Because 90% of vaccinated people can't get Covid two weeks after finishing their vaccinations. The ones who do get it, get lighter cases that aren't as contagious because the viral load is less.
There's also the fact that vaccinations have been shown to hold up against all of the variants that have been identified so far. That's likely not the case with the immunity gained from having Covid.
Coolill never get that shot. nobody on earth can make me get that shot. cant even remember the last time I got a flu shot.
