"*BUT THE VACCINE IS PREDICTABLE AND WOULD END THE PANDEMIC, SO STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE PEOPLE NOT TO GET VACCINATED*"

I am not trying to convince people not to get vaccinated. I recommend people get vaccinated. I'm going to highlight concerns with the vaccine, as its better to not ignore them.
We need more people highlighting concerns of not getting the vaccine vs coming up with reasons to not get it. I suppose we are at the point where we have led the horse to water, but cant make him drink, and just cut our losses. Until death knocks on their doors, they won't change their minds, so this is all a moot conversation. Good work all.

We have enough people doing this, but like I said, they end up resorting to dehumanizing the other side, so its pretty ineffective.

Why do you choose to highlight (mostly imaginary or hypothetical) concerns with the vaccine but not concerns with the disease?

Or, for that matter, concerns with seat belt safety or the scourge of horseless carriages or how disgusting indoor plumbing is?

“CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said recent studies had shown that those vaccinated individuals who do become infected with Covid have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated, making it possible for them to spread the virus to others.” - NBC.
Nobody has denied that. You're arguing against nobody as though you're making a valid point... Don't you see how disingenuous that comes off?

If 5% of vaccinated can catch it and spread it, while people spread it and 90% of unvaccinated people can catch it and spread it then you're being an irresponsible asshole (or ignorant idiot) by not vaccinating (or arguing against vaccination) unless you have a medical reason not to.

Assholes are still human. At least partly.

You can only calmly answer the same questions with evidence so many dozen times before the question starts to look like an attack.

I'd like to see current stats in the real world. My concern is that the ability of the vaccines to prevent one from actually getting infected has been oversold. Its just a hunch i have, as the breakthrough cases are being more common.

Unfortunately, the CDC isn't tracking breakthrough cases. This is what happens when you stop asking questions. When you simply just "trust the experts". The same experts who change their viewpoint month by month.

It's better not to ignore a lot of things you ignore. Far more critical things. This leads me to believe your aren't being honest.

I’d only have a problem if their choices, especially through ignorance and an incredibly selfish attitude, affects the wellbeing of those around them.

I don’t think we’re there yet but if those that choose not to get vaccinated pose a high risk to a large segment of the population, I would be in favor of a vaccine mandate. Let’s take it to the extreme and say that there’s a variant that turns unvaccinated people into flesh eating zombies. You can be sure that I’ll steal your katana and go around decapitating unvaccinated fools before they’d get close to me and my loved ones.
Agree, if someone does something stupid it's on them. But unvaccinated are posing a risk.
And some of what look like personal choices impact others. If you don't wear a seat belt or a motorcycle helmet, society pays if you become seriously injured.
Sitting home and getting drunk is on you. Driving drunk is not.

“Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (R) said he regrets signing a bill into law that bans state and local government authorities from implementing mask mandates amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.”
“Hutchinson said now that cases are increasing in Arkansas, he wishes the ban ‘had not become law.’”

I guess it's good news that he now realizes he was acting like a dumbass.

Was going to post, you beat me to it.
DeathSantis is doubling down, blaming media and medical experts for surge in cases in Florida.
Tennessee governor is offering incentives for residents to vaccinate ... cattle.

Here you go. They've listed them here...
Breakthrough cases are mostly below 5% this year...

There's this new thing called 'the Internet'. You can search all sorts of information. Try it!

Medicine has advanced since your days in the bell tower. Your hunch can be corrected if you let the doctors help you.

Your asking questions hasn't, and won't, change anything, except perhaps in the minds of the easily confused. Reality will continue on as scheduled.

And when it's proven beyond any reasonable doubt by the vast majority of health experts that the vaccines are completely safe, will you listen and take it for your own wellbeing as well as for those around you?
This is already not the case. There have been many adverse reactions reported already, in fact the percentage of occurrences is much higher than other vaccines. See VAERS.

I asked about the ability of the vaccine to actually prevent infections, not in regards to hospitalization or death when you actually get COVID.

Just from one town, 900 infections, 3 out of 4 were vaccinated. Sure, many didn't go to the hospital, but that's not what I was looking for here. I was asking about how well does the vaccine prevent you from actually becoming infected with COVID, and this answer is unclear. But 900 infections seems significant.

From the article:

“The vaccines are upholding their promise to massively prevent serious disease, hospitalizations, and death,” Monica Gandhi, an infectious diseases doctor at the University of California San Francisco, told me. “That’s the main message I get from that outbreak.”

If that case were extrapolated all over the country the pandemic would be over.

Prove me wrong.

VAERS is a complaint department, not a statistical study. Quoting myself from the Vaccines are Satan thread:

VAERS was established in 1990. We haven't had a high-profile, nationwide rollout of a vaccine since then that I can think of, other than this one. So, it makes a lot of sense that there would be more reports on this one, especially given that anyone can submit a report.

When are going to start seeing wrongful death lawsuits against the anti-vaxxers and idiots like Florida Gov. Mr. DeathSentence?

Do Andrew Cuomo and Meg Whitmer first with their nursing home debacle.

Never, because a transmission link is unprovable and the notion is completely ridiculous.
